Unit price perThis is a superb looking slice of the Shişr or Shi 010 meteorite, weighing 4.4 grams. Its dimensions are 29x24x7 mm. This L5 classified meteorite was part of the 16 stones found in the Shişr Desert of Oman by Russian meteorite hunters in 2001 with a total mass of 17.6 Kg. The shock stage of 3 and weathering grade of 3 is recorded for these pieces. This meteorite is likely paired with Shişr 008, an L5 that weighed 244 grams.
This piece shows a nice polished face and is a desirable size perfect to show in class or at a science show. This specimen would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Will come with a Canagem specimen card.

Unit price perThis is an outstanding Impact Melt Glass specimen or bomb weighing 7.89 grams. Its dimensions are 28x28x22 mm. Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts.
This Henbury glass, or more specifically vesicular impactite, was found in the Northern Territory of Australia. Thirteen craters were found 8 miles southwest of the town of Henbury, the largest of which was 720 x 360 feet. Henbury impactite was formed by a meteorite impact that occurred around 4,700 years ago. The meteorite is believed to have exploded upon entering the Earth's atmosphere, creating multiple craters which produced the impact glass.
Impactite is a slag-like glassy object found on the surface of the earth, formed from rock melted by the impact of a meteorite. The term encompasses shock-metamorphosed target rocks, melts or suevites and mixtures of the two, as well as sedimentary rocks with significant impact-derived components and shocked mineral grains, tektites, anomalous geochemical signatures, etc.
This piece displays extremely well. It is amazingly light considering its mass. It has a unique hollow sound when you tap it. This Australian find is very well shaped and preserved. These pieces are becoming more difficult to acquire so this is a good time to get a fine specimen. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. A mass of 16.3 kg was found January 1, 1991 by Clay Fowler; it was exposed about two feet below the surface in an old road cut. The cavity from which the stone was removed is covered by a thin layer of undisturbed modern soil, inspection of the find site by V. L. Souders, Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Olivine Fa18.5, analysis and classification, A. Brearly, Dept. of Geology and Institute of Meteoritics, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87131, USA. Information by A. W. Unit price perThis is a great looking part slice of the Kabo H4 classified meteorite. It weighs 0.75 grams and measures 11x9x2 mm. The Kabo meteorite fell on April 25, 1971, at about 4:30 p.m. local time (1530 GMT), in Kabo, Gwarzo District, Kano State, Nigeria. The total known weight of the meteorite is 13.4 kg.
The shower occurred on a Sunday afternoon while farmers were in their fields. Sound directions and crater asymmetry indicated that the meteorite approached from the west. "Thunder-like sounds were heard consecutively and these were followed by the inclined descent of a reddish object with trails of cloudy smoke following it". During the following week the District Head collected the specimens and forwarded them to the Emir of Kano. One specimen was recovered in two pieces of about 3 kg each, one stone weighed over 5 kg, one almost 3 kg, and the smallest 0.9 kg.

Unit price perThis is a superb looking part slice of Sahara Desert NWA 2224 meteorite. Although still considered unclassified, this meteorite was given the provisional class of CV3 for Carbonaceous.
This is a great specimen with many multicolored chondrules and CAIs. It's a Dean Bessey meteorite but unfortunately many of his finds were never fully submitted for analysis. It is a shame for this particular specimen, as it is just spectacular.
This piece displays extremely well with its professionally finished cut face and comes protected in a gem jar. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

Samarskite crystallizes in the orthorhombic – dipyramidal class as black to yellowish brown stubby prisms although it is typically found as anhedral masses. Specimens with a high uranium content are typically metamict and appear coated with a yellow brown earthy rind.
Samarskite-(Y) is rich in rare earth elements (REEs), niobium (Nb), and tantalum (Ta)—all of which are valuable in advanced electronics, alloys, and green energy technologies. The mineral can also contain trace amounts of uranium and thorium, which may cause it to be slightly radioactive.
Due to its uranium content, samarskite-(Y) is considered radioactive. It's recommended to wash hands after handling and avoid inhaling dust when breaking or handling the mineral.

Unit price perA superb example of fossilized brachiopod from Wapienno, Polanda. The high degree of preservation of the shell makes it much more special. These long articulate brachiopods are characterized by a triangular shell with a spherical profile, powerful ribs, a curved hinge line and a small umbo. The anterior margin shows a tongue like projection. Like most brachiopods, Rhynchonella was a stationary epifaunal suspension feeder.

Unit price perA superb example of pyritized ammonites of the genera Kosmoceras, Quenstedticeras and others of the Callovian Stage (161 m.y.a) deposits of Russia. The high degree of preservation of natural mother-of-pearl shell makes it appear to be preserved as fire opal. This is a consequence of light passing through the various layers of aragonite and conchiolin deposited by the ammonite in life. The lack of acidity in the depositional environment allowed them to be preserved as you see here. The environment was also anoxic, leading to formation of Iron Pyrite (Fool's Gold).
