Prehnite can form prismatic, tabular, or pyramidal crystals, but usually occurs in botryoidal, reniform, stalactitic, granular, or compact habits.  It is usually green in colour, but may be white, colourless, yellow, or gray.  It has a colourless streak.  Prehnite is transparent to translucent, with a vitreous to pearly luster.  Prehnite forms in cavities in basaltic lavas.

Prehnite is said to be a stone of unconditional love and the crystal to heal the healer. Placing it in the garden is believed to help make a home into a healing sanctuary and teach one how to be in harmony with nature. This is an amazing specimen of Hematite, or Specularite, crystals on a large hematite matrix from Egremont, Cumbria, England.  The entire top of the specimen is covered with Specularite crystals while the other side is botryoidal Hematite. This is an outstanding Impact Melt Glass specimen or bomb weighing 1 grams.  Its dimensions are 19x17x12 mm.  Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts.

This Henbury glass or more specifically vesicular impactite was found in the Northern Territory of Australia. Eight miles southwest of the town of Henbury, 13 craters were found, the largest of which was 720 x 360 feet.  This impactite was formed years ago when many meteorites crashed into the earth making all those craters which produced the impact glass.

Impactite is a slag-like glassy object found on the surface of the earth, formed from rock melted by the impact of a meteorite. The term encompasses shock-metamorphosed target rocks, melts or suevites and mixtures of the two, as well as sedimentary rocks with significant impact-derived components and shocked mineral grains, tektites, anomalous geochemical signatures, etc.

This piece displays extremely well.  It is amazingly light considering its mass.  It has a unique hollow sound when you tap it.  This Australian find is very well shaped and preserved. These pieces are becoming more difficult to acquire so this is a good time to get a fine specimen.  Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.  Will come with a Canagem specimen card.
