Tumbled hematite is a polished form of the mineral hematite, an iron oxide known for its metallic silver-gray to deep gunmetal appearance. After being rounded and smoothed, these stones take on a mirror-like shine that makes them visually striking and smooth to the touch. Rutilated quartz, is a variety of quartz with embedded needle-like rutile inclusions. The rutile needles can be reddish, golden, silvery, or very rarely greenish.  It is also known as Venus Hair Stone.
