Meteorites

This is a great looking Bereba classified meteorite specimen weighing .19 gram.  A single stone weighing 18 kilograms was observed falling on June 27, 1924 at 3:30pm in Burkina Faso  This Eucrite-mmict classified meteorite and is 1 of only 304 approved meteorites classified as such. This is a very difficult fall to acquire.

It is recognized as a monomict breccia, providing significant insight into the geological history of the asteroid 4 Vesta, from which it is believed to originate.

This piece is a very desirable type of material and a great specimen all around. The specimen comes in a protective display case. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card plus one from origin.

This is a superb part slice of the Northwest Africa 3152 meteorite, weighing 2.7 grams and measuring 25x19x3 mm.  This is a very rare type 7 Eucrite meteorites classified as a HED achondrite Eucrite.

This beautiful 2,7 gram crusted part slice of NWA 3152 is a very rare highly metamorphosed (type 7) basaltic Eucrite achondrite found in Northwest Africa 2005. The internal appearance of this meteorite was somewhat of a surprise when we first cut it because of the very striking and unusual breccia. There are only a few examples of type 7 Eucrites in existence making this meteorite found as single stone an admirable find. A Total known Weight (TKW) of 1,496 grams is officially recorded for this scarce meteorite.

This is a very interesting class of achondrite.  This meteorite takes a great polish and displays very handsomely.  Both sides are polished so there are no signs of saw marks ruining the appearance of an otherwise highly collectable specimen.  The last step in preparing each piece was to dry it using pure ethyl alcohol and a heat lamp, creating a very stable piece that resists oxidation and that will stand the test-of-time.

This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its diamond lap finish, it is a high quality specimen that would make an amazing addition to any new or existing collection. Comes in a large gem box with a Canagem and a Hupé Collection specimen card.

This is a superb part slice of the rare Northwest Africa 2126 meteorite, weighing 3.2 grams and measuring 20x18x4 mm.  This is a meteorite classified as an HED achondrite Eucrite.

The NWA 2126 is a rare Polymict Eucrite Achondrite found in 2004.  When this meteorite was cut it looked very much like a Howardite.  NAU, a NomCom approved facility, classified it as a Polymict Eucrite.  This is a very interesting and rare class of achondrite. This meteorite takes a great polish and displays very handsomely.  A total known weight of 2,227 grams is officially recorded for this very fascinating find.  Both sides are polished so there are no signs of saw marks ruining the appearance of an otherwise highly collectable specimen.  The last step in preparing each piece was to dry it using pure ethyl alcohol and a heat lamp, creating a very stable piece that resists oxidation.

This is a superb looking crusted fragment of an NWA 1777 classified meteorite weighing 1.45 grams.

This meteorite was found in Sobti, Algeria in 2002.  It has a low total mass of 1055 grams and is classified as a Eucrite-pmict. It has a shock level 3 and a weathering grade W1. 

This piece displays extremely well and would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes in a membrane protective case with a Meteoritica and a Canagem Collection specimen card.

This is a great looking Northwest Africa 2516 basaltic eucrite classified meteorite part slice weighing 5.52 grams. Its dimensions are 22x15x9 mm. 

This basaltic achondrite eucrite classified meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2004 and is 1 of 641 approved meteorites classified as such. The total weight of the recovered pieces is recorded as a low 296 grams.

This piece displays extremely well, it is a nice size with a beautiful crusted exterior, and shows multiple characteristics of the type of material, it exhibits excellent clasts within the matrix. The matrix is a fine grain containing shocked eucritic inclusions. Beautiful grey matrix with nice clear inclusions.   The three groups collectively known as HED meteorites (howardites, eucrites and diogenites) may come from asteroid 4 Vesta.

The specimen comes with a Meteoritica and a Canagem specimen card. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is a great looking Northwest Africa 2949 basaltic eucrite classified meteorite slice weighing 9.7 grams. Its dimensions are 43x38x3 mm. 

This basaltic achondrite eucrite classified meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2005 and is 1 of 468 approved meteorites classified as such. The total weight of the 5 recovered pieces is recorded as a low 1365 grams.

This piece displays extremely well with a beautiful crusted exterior and is a nice size showing multiple characteristics of the type of material, exhibiting excellent clasts within the matrix. The matrix is a fine grain containing shocked eucritic inclusions.
