Pseudomorphs are mineral specimens that have the external shape of one mineral but are composed of another.  The pseudomorph goethite after marcasite forms when marcasite is exposed to oxidizing conditions and starts to oxidize and break down. As the marcasite breaks down, goethite replaces it in the crystal structure, preserving the shape of the original marcasite crystal. The resulting specimen appears as a marcasite crystal, but is actually composed of goethite.

The Farafra Oasis, in the White Desert, has been known for a number of years to deliver incredible pseudomorph specimens. The pseudomorphs occur within the Cretaceous Khoman Chalk, from which the White Desert derives its name.

These specimens are remarkable for their relatively sharp marcasite crystal forms in aesthetic crystal clusters. They are in excellent condition.  This collector's specimen is unique, of great quality and ready for display.

Wolframite is the principal and primary ore mineral of tungsten, and commonly associated with the tin ore in and around granite country rocks. Wolframite is an iron manganese tungsten oxide mineral.

This is a beautiful cluster of clear quartz crystals on a carpet of green pistacite, also known as epidote. The epidote underneath are clearly visible through the quartz. 

Pistacite is a historical term once commonly used to describe a green variety of epidote, named for its pistachio-like color. While the term is still recognized among collectors and in older literature, it has largely been replaced in modern mineralogy by the more general name green epidote.

Pistacite (green epidote) is often associated with growth, release, and emotional healing. Some believe it helps clear negative energy and encourages letting go of patterns or emotions that no longer serve you. It’s thought to support personal transformation by boosting a sense of hope and forward movement, especially during times of change or recovery.

Lepidolite is a lilac-gray or rose-colored member of the mica group of minerals.  Because lepidolite is a lithium-bearing mica, it is often wrongly assumed that lithium is what causes the pink hues that are so characteristic of this mineral. Instead, it is trace amounts of manganese that cause the pink, purple, and red colors.  The most notable and certainly the most studied of these deposits is the Brown Derby #1 Pegmatite, located in the Ohio City/Quartz Creek District, approximately 18 miles northeast of Gunnison in the high mountains of Central Colorado.

This top specimen is in very good condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is from Tanco mine, a beautiful combination of a nicely formed and colorless(white) Spodumene on top of Quartz matrix.  This fabulous specimen is fluorescent under UV light.

Spodumene is a pyroxene mineral and is a source of lithium. It occurs as colorless to yellowish Triphane, purplish or lilac kunzite, yellowish-green or emerald-green hiddenite, prismatic crystals, often of great size with single crystals of up to 14.3 m (47 ft) in size being reported.

Kunzite is the best-known variety of the mineral spodumene.  Kunzite gets its delicate color from trace amounts of manganese.

Mesolite is a fragile member of the zeolite group and forms almost exclusively in delicate, needle-like crystal habits.  From the Greek for meso = middle and lithos = stone, for its chemical composition is between that of natrolite and scolecite.  This is a very nice specimen consisting of a large vug in basalt completely covered by white needle.

This is a doubly terminated elbaite tourmaline with albite that shows great character of this famous combination. The tourmaline end has a flat pinacoid and this green crystal has luster and translucence. Comes mounted on a plastic stand.

It is believed that Tourmaline can be used to repel negativity.  It is said to enhance one's physical wellbeing by providing an increase in physical vitality, emotional stability, and intellectual acuity. It is associated with the root chakra.

Here is a rare combination of a mass of Scholzite needles covered by black Chalcophanite crystals on matrix from Australia.  Scholzite is a rare zinc phosphate mineral that forms nice bright white tabular crystals and is associated with other rare phosphates. Pyrite is a fascinating mineral also known as "fool's gold" because of its metallic luster and brassy yellow color, which can resemble gold. It often forms in cubic crystals or as nodules in sedimentary rocks.  It gets its name from the Greek word "pyr," meaning fire, as it can produce sparks when struck against metal or another hard material.

An interesting thing about pyrite is its association with ancient civilizations. It has been discovered in artifacts from ancient Egypt and was used for ornamental purposes in jewelry.

Pyrite is believed attract financial success and offer protective qualities against negative energies. It is thought to boost confidence, inner strength, creativity, and focus.

This spectacular rock specimen consists of alternating layers of light blue-green amazonite and light grey smoky quartz topped by a biotite mica (muscovite) crystal. This special material is found in proximity of pegmatite melts to the surrounding country rock and is the result of quick cooling of the melt.

The term graphic originates from the Greek word Graphos or the Latin word Graphus which means to write. It denotes the script-like appearance that resembles cuneiform or runic writings where the darker, glassy quartz appears as letters or characters written on a lighter or whitish feldspar groundmass. This hand selected polished Fluorite Slab is beautiful and colorful!  It is polished on both sides with raw edges.
