This is a botryoidal growth of dark-green Conichalcite on matrix.  This piece originates from the 40' Level of the historic Gold Hill Mine in Tooele County, Utah, a locality long recognized for producing a wide variety of copper and arsenate minerals. Although the district was once highly productive, specimens from the classic workings have become increasingly difficult to obtain since the mine’s closure in 1945.
