NWA 2924 Meteorite | 3.93 Gr | End Cut | Stony Iron Mesosiderite | Algeria | SO24

This is a superb looking Stony-iron or Mesosiderite Northwest Africa NWA 2924 classified meteorite end cut weighing 3.93 grams. Its dimensions are 17x12x6 mm.

Over 180 kg (several thousand pieces) have been recovered from a small strewn field in Algeria. The largest known piece weighs about 5000 g; most are small pieces that weigh less than 200 g.  The classification is a Mesosiderite with low shock, variable degree of weathering dependent on the specimen size.
