Fluorite comes many colors. Deep purple (it's most famous), sky blue, sea green, sunny yellow, and crystal clear. There are rarer colors of pink, reddish orange (rose) and even black. Fluorite is very attractive and in demand. It is easy to see why fluorite earns the reputation as "The Most Colorful Mineral in the World".
Because Fluorite comes in a wide range of colours, it is often said that it contains something of all other gemstones in it. According to folklore, it is the home of rainbows.
Fluorite is said to increase concentration and foster mental balance. Nicknamed the "genius stone" fluorite is believed to be excellent for study and work areas. It helps the mind stay focused on the task at hand.

Name: Molybdenite Vein in Feldspar
Specimen Size: Large Cabinet-Sized
Dimensions: 118x84x64 mm / 4.6x3.3x2.5 inches
Weight: 694 Grams / 1 lb 8.5 ounces
Origin: Mined in Western Ontario
This is a section of a vein that has Molybdenite in feldspar from Western Ontario. This specimen also features a neat little pocket filled with some nice microcrystal species.
Molybdenite, molybdenum sulfide, is the major ore mineral of molybdenum. It was rarely found as crystals, but is commonly found as foliated masses in Ontario. This means the mineral forms folia or layers, like the mineral mica. It is metallic gray, has a greasy feel, and is very soft at only 1 on Mohs' hardness scale. Its softness, metallic luster and gray color led scientists to mistakenly believe it was a lead mineral. Geologically, molybdenite forms in high-temperature environments such as in igneous rocks. Some molybdenite forms when igneous bodies contact rock and metamorphose, or change, the rock. This is called contact metamorphism
Name: Sea Agate Rough
Dimensions: 72x58x44 mm - 2.8x2.3x1.7 inches
Weight: 204 grams - 7.2 oz
Origin: Nova Scotia, Canada
This is a beautiful piece of colored sea agate from the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia. It features Lavender, white and red colors and even a couple of druse pockets making it a quality lapidary material.
This is a quality lapidary material with a nicely contrasted piece of dark blue sodalite var. hackmanite and white microcline from the famous Mont-Saint-Hilaire in Quebec. It is highly florescent orange under Longwave UltraViolet (LUV) Light.
Sodalite is usually found in the massive form, rather than crystals. Its name is derived from its sodium content. This stone is frequently found with lapis lazuli, but contains little or no golden pyrite specks in it as lapis does. It may, however, contain patches or streaks of white calcite. Although some people think that sodalite resembles lapis in some ways, it is entirely different in chemical composition and has more of a navy blue coloring. Would be a quality lapidary material or a beautiful addition to any new or existing rock collection.

Unit price perThis is a fantastic crusted 10.59 grams NWA (Northwest Africa) 869 L3-6 classified meteorite Individual found by Nomads in the Sahara Desert. The dimensions of the specimen are 22x15x13 mm. This specimen comes from the Hupé Collection.
NWA 869 classified meteorites can still be interesting and this one is for sure perfectly shaped to catch your attention. It displays a superb crust on most of its surface. Most samples are individual meteorites but some fragments (mostly >1 kg) also occur. In most cases the fusion crust has been polished or ablated by wind erosion. Many samples are more severely affected and show faces with deep wind erosion features. Fracture faces, formed by ground collision, show a typical gray-green color and sometimes visible brecciation (light and/or dark clasts).
Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

Unit price perTetrahedrite, Pyrite and Quartz Crystal | AAA Cluster | 642 Grams | Peru | SO24
$284.00 CAD
Unit price perThis beautiful cluster combines tetrahedrite, cubic and crystallized pyrite matrix and tiny terminated quartz crystals.
Tetrahedrite crystals are fascinating minerals known for their distinctive tetrahedral shape and shiny, metallic luster. It typically forms in well-defined tetrahedral crystals, which can be grouped in clusters. The color range includes shades of metallic gray, black, and sometimes reddish hues due to the presence of copper and other trace elements. Tetrahedrite is commonly found in hydrothermal veins and is often associated with other minerals such as quartz, galena, and sphalerite.
Tetrahedrite is believed to promote emotional healing and provide a protective shield against negativity. It is thought to enhance creativity and clarity, helping individuals connect with their inner selves.
This top specimen is in very good condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
