Ulexite, also known as "TV rock" due to its unique optical properties, is a mineral that belongs to the borate mineral group. Its most distinctive characteristic is its natural fiber optic behavior, which allows it to transmit light along its crystal structure's long axis. When placed over an image or text, ulexite can create a captivating effect resembling a projection or reflection. This property has led to its popular moniker, as it evokes the appearance of a television screen. Ulexite is primarily composed of boron, sodium, calcium, and oxygen, and its crystals are often found in sedimentary environments, typically forming in arid regions where evaporation and concentration of boron-rich solutions occur.
Ulexite is often associated with enhancing one's intuition, psychic abilities, and inner vision. It is believed to act as a conduit for receiving insights from higher realms and promoting clarity of thought. Ulexite is thought to stimulate the third eye and crown chakras, facilitating a stronger connection to higher consciousness and spiritual realms. Devotees of ulexite also believe that its gentle energy can help individuals access hidden truths and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
You will receive 1 Ulexite crystal. Each Ulexite is beautiful and unique, variations in size and shape should be expected. Note the specimen shown in the photos represent a small selection of what we have in stock, the size and shape of the specimen we send will vary.

This is a rare and fantastic 41.8 gram Libyan Desert Glass from Kuffra, Libya, with dimensions of 44x38x24 mm. Although its exact origin is still debated, the leading theory suggests it was formed by a high-energy event, such as a meteoric impact or airburst, that melted the desert sand directly where it lay, without being ejected into the atmosphere and re-entering. This results in different physical characteristics compared to tektites.
Libyan Desert Glass is found specifically in the Great Sand Sea of the Eastern Sahara, within a more localized area spanning parts of western Egypt and eastern Libya. Characterized by its yellow to greenish-yellow color, it lacks the aerodynamic shapes of tektites and often appears as irregularly shaped pieces. It is almost pure silica (around 98%) with very few impurities. Throughout history, it has been regarded as a mystical and powerful material, sometimes used in talismans and amulets.
This piece displays extremely well and is a quality translucent specimen. It has an aesthetic shape with a beautiful wind eroded body from the years spent in the Desert. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.
Chabazite is known for its distinctive crystal structure and its occurrence in a variety of geological environments. Its crystal structure consists of interconnected channels and cavities. Chabazite is found in various locations around the world, including Italy, Iceland, Scotland, the Faroe Islands, the United States (especially in the Pacific Northwest), Canada, India, and Australia. Different localities may produce chabazite crystals with varying colors and characteristics.
These chabazite crystals are from Wasson’s Bluff, Nova Scotia, Canada. Wasson's Bluff is recognized as producing great specimens with colors varying from pink to orange to red. This zone has seen collection of specimens almost exhausted due to the ground erosion. These particular specimens are a lovely orangey color and are in very good condition. Make these a special specimen pair in your collection.

An olivine volcanic bomb is a type of volcanic rock that contains olivine crystals and has been ejected during a volcanic eruption. Olivine is a mineral that is commonly found in the Earth's mantle and is one of the first minerals to crystallize as magma cools.
Volcanic bombs are large clots of lava that are ejected from a volcano during an explosive eruption. They can vary in size, and their shapes are often streamlined due to their molten nature as they are thrown through the air. When these volcanic bombs contain olivine crystals, they are referred to as olivine volcanic bombs.
The crystal face has been left raw on this piece to show the green olivine crystals which are showcased beautifully against the surrounding black lava crust. This huge display specimen is a museum grade specimen and would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

This is a Selenite sphere from Morocco. The sphere comes from a selenite mass of Satin Spar, and is partially clear (the rest is translucent), with a lovely Chatoyancy.
Selenite, also known as Gypsum, is one of the more common minerals in sedimentary environments. It is a major rock forming mineral that produces massive beds, usually from precipitation out of highly saline waters. Since it forms easily from saline water, gypsum can have many inclusions of other minerals and even trapped bubbles of air and water.
Gypsum has several variety names that are widely used in the mineral trade. "Selenite" is the colorless and transparent variety that shows a pearl like luster and has been described as having a moon like glow. The word selenite comes from the Greek for Moon and means moon rock. Another variety is a compact fibrous aggregate called "satin spar" . This variety has a very satin like look that gives a play of light up and down the fibrous crystals. A fine grained massive material is called "alabaster" and is an ornamental stone used in fine carvings for centuries, even eons.
Selenite is believed to be a calming stone that instills deep peace and is excellent for meditation. Selenite has an ethereal quality and is said to inhabit the place between light and matter. Although an ancient stone, it is still one of the most powerful crystals.
It is thought that Selenite can be used to form a protective grid around a house, creating a safe and quiet space that does not allow outside influences in. A large piece of Selenite placed in the house ensures a peaceful atmosphere.
Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This amazing specimen of Grossular Garnet was collected in 2005 in the now closed Jeffery Mine in Asbestos, Québec, Canada. This is an extremely elegant and rare pink colored garnet from this locale.
The Jeffrey Mine is well-regarded among mineral collectors for its grossular garnet specimens, particularly the rich orange (“hessonite”) crystals it produced during its active years. The mine’s grossular garnets are often described as some of the most distinctive and desirable in the world because of their strong, honey-orange to peach color, good transparency, sharp crystal form, and glassy luster — qualities that make them stand out compared to grossular from many other localities.
Today the mine is closed and flooded, so material comes from historic finds and old stock, adding to both rarity and appeal.
This beautiful specimen is in very good condition and will come protected in a Perky Box . A great addition to any collection!

This premium specimen from Preissac Mine displays multiple perfect rosettes of metallic molybdenite and some greenish-gray flaky mica (likely muscovite or biotite) surrounding parts of the specimen crystals on feldspar matrix. The rosettes measure approximately 15-23 mm in length.
Molybdenite is commonly found as foliated masses meaning the mineral forms folia or layers, like the mineral mica. It is metallic gray, has a greasy feel, and is very soft at only 1 on Mohs' hardness scale. Its softness, metallic luster and gray color led scientists to mistakenly believe it was a lead mineral. This specimen shows the typical hexagonal layered structure of the crystal.
Some believe molybdenite is linked to intuition, transformation, and problem-solving, helping with mental clarity and adaptability. It is sometimes associated with the third eye chakra, thought to enhance insight and creative thinking.
