This is a nice group of bright orange wulfenite crystals on matrix from Rowley Mine, Arizona. While the Rowley Mine does not produce the massive wulfenite crystals found at the famed Red Cloud Mine, its wulfenite is prized for its color, clarity, and associations. The crystals typically form as rich orange to yellow-orange thin, tabular, square blades. They are often beveled and can be exceptionally transparent and gemmy. Wulfenite here is frequently associated with mimetite, which often forms as bright orange-red spheres or balls. This association is the quintessential Rowley Mine look.

Wulfenite is often associated with creativity, emotional balance, and perseverance. Some believe it helps connect the heart and the will, encouraging people to follow their passions even through difficult or uncertain times. Wulfenite is also thought to support emotional healing by helping release old attachments and clearing a path for new experiences.

Quartz from the Palermo #1 pegmatite in North Groton, New Hampshire typically occurs as clear to smoky hexagonal crystals with a bright vitreous luster, formed in pockets within a complex granitic pegmatite. These quartz crystals are often found attached to or associated with mica-rich schist, the layered metamorphic host rock composed mainly of mica and quartz, sometimes with sillimanite.

The site has been mined for various materials since 1863, including mica, beryl, and feldspar, and is now primarily known for its rich specimen variety, though it is not open to individual collecting.

Mordenite was first described in 1864 by Henry How. He named it after the small community of Morden, Nova Scotia, Canada, along the Bay of Fundy, where it was first found.  It is one of the most abundant zeolites and is found in volcanic rock such as rhyolite, andesite, and basalt. It is associated with other zeolites such as stilbite and heulandite.

The distinctive "cat's eye" effect in this Chrysoberyl is caused by the reflection of light off parallel needle-like inclusions within the crystal. When the gem is cut en cabochon, a concentrated, bright band of light appears to move across the surface as the stone is rotated.

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Pure obsidian is usually dark in appearance, though the color varies depending on the impurities present. Iron and other transition elements may give the obsidian a dark brown to black color.

Most black obsidians contain nano inclusions of magnetite, an iron oxide. Very few samples of obsidian are nearly colorless. In some stones, the inclusion of small, white, radially clustered crystals (spherulites) of the mineral cristobalite in the black glass produce a blotchy or snowflake pattern (snowflake obsidian).

Quartz crystals are among the most abundant and well-known minerals on Earth. It belongs to the hexagonal crystal system, and typically forms six-sided prismatic crystals with a pointed termination. Its crystals can be colorless or exhibit a wide range of colors. The color variations are often due to the presence of impurities or trace elements during the crystal's formation. Quartz is transparent to translucent. 

Phantom quartz is a variety of quartz, or "rock crystal", that forms over pre-existing crystals. The included crystal is visible due to some variation in composition making the boundary of the included crystal visible. Such crystals display the outlines of numerous smaller crystals, known as phantoms.  Great crystal to acquire.

This is a superb whole specimen of the famous Northwest Africa 2965 meteorite weighing 63.49 grams. This is a beautiful specimen from the Thomas Phillips Meteorite Collection.

Its dimensions are 49x42x29 mm. This North West Africa was classified originally as an Enstatite EL6/7, then later as an EL3 and finally an EL-Melt Rock meteorite which was found along with the rest of the total mass of more than 100 Kilograms in the Algerian Desert in August 2005.  This is one of the oldest meteorites on our planet in terms of terrestrial age and has been referred to as a fossil meteorite. 

This Enstatite chondrite shock Level is minimal and weathering varies from 2 to 5. This piece displays extremely well and if cut would show a completely recrystallized enstatite chondrite with polygonal to irregular grain outlines. The grain size varies from 0.02 to 0.7 mm. Round, curved, blocky objects contain coarser-grained orthopyroxene than in the matrix. No relict chondrules were observed.

This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its prehistoric look.  As highlighted in the photos, there are grains of sand still wedged into one of the crevices of the specimen.  This rare and quality specimen would make an amazing addition to any new or existing collection.
