An olivine volcanic bomb is a type of volcanic rock that contains olivine crystals and has been ejected during a volcanic eruption. Olivine is a mineral that is commonly found in the Earth's mantle and is one of the first minerals to crystallize as magma cools.
Volcanic bombs are large clots of lava that are ejected from a volcano during an explosive eruption. They can vary in size, and their shapes are often streamlined due to their molten nature as they are thrown through the air. When these volcanic bombs contain olivine crystals, they are referred to as olivine volcanic bombs.

Pyromorphite (lead chloro-phosphate) was a common mineral of the oxidized zone of the Broken Hill orebody, and exceptional specimens of various crystal forms and colors were found. Some examples were yellow and some brown, while others were green. Their crystal habits varied from almost needle-like to thick barrels. This example illustrates one of those forms – barrel-shaped, six-sided, clove-brown crystals.
This hard to acquire specimen is in good condition. A rare and really beautiful specimen. Would be a great addition to any new or existing collection.

Tanzanite is renowned for its intense blue and violet colors, but can also be golden, green, lilac and peacock (blue and green). The sole source of tanzanite is the Merelani Hills in northern Tanzania. Discovered in the 1960s, tanzanite is considered rarer than diamonds due to its single-source origin. The mines in Tanzania are exhaustible, adding to the gemstone's allure.
With a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, tanzanite is relatively soft compared to some other gemstones. As a result, it requires gentle care to prevent scratches or damage.
Tanzanite is believed to aide with spiritual awareness, insight, and communication. Some attribute it with calming energies and the ability to enhance psychic abilities.

This combination of Serandite and Aegirine from Poudrette Quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire (MSH), Quebec, is considered one of Canada's classic mineral associations. Renowned for its extraordinary mineral diversity, this quarry has produced some of the world's finest specimens of both minerals. Serandite forms beautiful salmon-pink to orange-pink prismatic crystals, while Aegirine grows as glossy black, often sharply terminated blades, that may occur individually or in radiating sprays. These minerals are often accompanied by white Albite or Analcime, producing beautiful specimens.
Serandite is the signature mineral of Mont Saint-Hilaire and is the most sought-after species coming from that locality. This beautiful crystal cluster would be a great addition to any new or existing collection.

Zircon comes in a variety of colors, including blue, yellow, green, brown, and red, and is renowned for its exceptional brilliance. It is found in many locations worldwide, including Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Australia. Some of the oldest zircon crystals have been dated to be over 4 billion years old, making them among the oldest minerals on Earth.
Zircon has a hardness of 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, making it durable enough for use in various types of jewelry. However, care should be taken to avoid sharp blows and extreme temperatures.
Zircon is associated with promoting spiritual growth, mental clarity, and prosperity. It is also thought to enhance self-confidence and provide protection.
It's important to note the distinction between natural zircon and cubic zirconia. Natural zircon is a genuine gemstone, while cubic zirconia is a synthetic material often used as a diamond simulant.
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Pure obsidian is usually dark in appearance, though the color varies depending on the impurities present. Iron and other transition elements may give the obsidian a dark brown to black color.
Most black obsidians contain nano inclusions of magnetite, an iron oxide. Very few samples of obsidian are nearly colorless. In some stones, the inclusion of small, white, radially clustered crystals (spherulites) of the mineral cristobalite in the black glass produce a blotchy or snowflake pattern (snowflake obsidian).

Prehnite can form prismatic, tabular, or pyramidal crystals, but usually occurs in botryoidal, reniform, stalactitic, granular, or compact habits. It is usually green in colour, but may be white, colourless, yellow, or gray. It has a colourless streak. Prehnite is transparent to translucent, with a vitreous to pearly luster. It forms in cavities in basaltic lavas.
Prehnite is said to be a stone of unconditional love and the crystal to heal the healer. Placing it in the garden is believed to help make a home into a healing sanctuary and teach one how to be in harmony with nature. A good Fung Shui stone, prehnite is said to be helpful for decluttering, helping one let go of possessions no longer needed.

This is a rare and fantastic 9 gram Libyan Desert Glass from Kuffra, Libya, with dimensions of 28x21x18 mm. Although its exact origin is still debated, the leading theory suggests it was formed by a high-energy event, such as a meteoric impact or airburst, that melted the desert sand directly where it lay, without being ejected into the atmosphere and re-entering. This results in different physical characteristics compared to tektites.
Libyan Desert Glass is found specifically in the Great Sand Sea of the Eastern Sahara, within a more localized area spanning parts of western Egypt and eastern Libya. Characterized by its yellow to greenish-yellow color, it lacks the aerodynamic shapes of tektites and often appears as irregularly shaped pieces. It is almost pure silica (around 98%) with very few impurities. Throughout history, it has been regarded as a mystical and powerful material, sometimes used in talismans and amulets.
This piece displays extremely well and is a quality translucent specimen. It has an aesthetic shape with a beautiful wind eroded body from the years spent in the Desert. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.
