An olivine volcanic bomb is a type of volcanic rock that contains olivine crystals and has been ejected during a volcanic eruption. Olivine is a mineral that is commonly found in the Earth's mantle and is one of the first minerals to crystallize as magma cools.

Volcanic bombs are large clots of lava that are ejected from a volcano during an explosive eruption. They can vary in size, and their shapes are often streamlined due to their molten nature as they are thrown through the air. When these volcanic bombs contain olivine crystals, they are referred to as olivine volcanic bombs.

This piece has been cut to show the green olivine crystals which are showcased beautifully against the surrounding black lava crust.

This is lot of small tumbled individual NWA unclassified meteorites from the Sahara Desert.  Because they have been tumbled, you can clearly see the metal within the specimens. The total weight of the lot is 30.8 grams.  The meteorites range in size from 15 to 32 mm.  This never classified North West Africa stone was found in the Sahara desert around 2000.

These small individual specimens are great as teaching tools in the home or in the classroom, or as gifts.   They can also be used for science projects and other types craft displays. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

Quartz crystals are among the most abundant and well-known minerals on Earth. Quartz belongs to the hexagonal crystal system. It typically forms six-sided prismatic crystals with a pointed termination. Its crystals can be colorless or exhibit a wide range of colors. The color variations are often due to the presence of impurities or trace elements during the crystal's formation. Quartz is transparent to translucent. 

Quartz is considered a “master healer.” It's believed to amplify energy by absorbing, storing, releasing, and regulating it. It's thought to aid concentration and memory.  Quartz is also said to be a power gemstone that harmonizes and balances; enhancing energy and thoughts as well as purifying the spiritual, mental and physical. Quartz is associated with the crown chakra.

This is an outstanding Monturaqui Impactite specimen weighing 5.66 grams.  It measures 26x20x11 mm.  Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts.

Some of the recovered pieces of this impactite show tiny bits of the original iron meteorite. There is very little of the original meteorite left at this impact site, but sometimes when these Impactites are sliced you can find small fragments of metal in them. This specimen was collected by Michael Cottingham during an excursion to the Impactite Site.  

The Monturaqui Crater is located in a very remote part of North Chile's Atacama Desert. This crater measures about 370 meters in diameter. Less than 4 kilos of Iron Shale fragments and about 50kg of Impactites have been found so far. This crater was made over 100,000 years ago. The only evidence remaining of the original meteorite is seen in the shale and impactite.

Impactite is a slag-like glassy object found on the surface of the earth, formed from rock melted by the impact of a meteorite. The term encompasses shock-metamorphosed target rocks, melts or suevites and mixtures of the two, as well as sedimentary rocks with significant impact-derived components and shocked mineral grains, tektites, anomalous geochemical signatures, etc.

This piece displays extremely well.  It is amazingly light considering its mass.  It has a unique hollow sound when you tap it.  This Chilean find is very well shaped and preserved.  These impactites are becoming more difficult to acquire so this is a good time to get a fine specimen.  Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is a fabulous 11.3 gram Sericho Pallasite Main Group meteorite, it measures 26x21x17 mm.  In 2016, two brothers were searching for their camels and came across several large, dense stones west of the village of Habaswein and south of Sericho, Kenya.  Though recognized as meteorites in 2016, the masses had been known to camel-herders for decades. One village elder said that as a child, he and his brothers would play on top of the stones.  It is classified as an Iron Pallasite main group with low weathering and is 1 of only 68 approved meteorites classified as such, with a recovered weight of about 2.8 T.

This piece displays extremely well and is a nice size showing great features. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

Here we have for you a superb looking Stony-iron or Mesosiderite Vaca Muerta (Dead Cow) classified meteorite end cut weighing 2.76 grams. Its dimensions are 15x16x5 mm.

This classified meteorite was found in 1861 in the driest desert of the world called the Atacama, in Chile. Mesosiderites are formed on the surface of a parent body as a result of impacts with another body. The impact mixed broken fragments of surface eucrites with iron and olivine from deep within the body. Eucrites are believed to have come from the asteroid Vesta. Analysis has shown, however, that the Vaca Muerta eucrite inclusions are not consistent with other eucrites and possibly originated on a different parent body. Although most have a weathered exterior, they also have lots of metal inside and can be prepared and cut to show this.

Here we have for you a large 40.22 grams superbly shaped Indochinite Tektite from Maoming City, Guangdong Province, China. It measures 44x31x32 mm.  Although not a meteorite, tektite is directly linked to them or their impacts, just consider its age of around 780,000 years old.

Tektite can still be interesting because of the persistent mystery which has resisted clear explanation of their creation for generations of geologists.

These specimen are sometimes found with chips, which is normal since they are glass objects of great age. This is the case with this specimen, as you can see in the photos, there are minor chips.  As a result, we are offering this great specimen at a reduced price. This piece still displays very well and is a nice size showing multiple characteristics of its origin.  Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
