This is a beautiful specimen of golden brown Vesuvianite crystals on a white carbonate matrix from Mexico. A great addition to any collection! It was first discovered on Mount Vesuvius in Italy in the 18th century, hence its name.

Vesuvianite typically occurs as a green, brown, yellow, or blue-green crystal, and is often found in metamorphic and igneous rocks. The alternate name, Idocrase, is from the Greek eidos “form”, and krasis “mixture”, because Vesuvianite often appears to combine the crystal forms of other minerals. It is used as a gemstone.

This amazing specimen of Vesuvianite was collected in the 1960's by A. Stevenson in Harcourt, Ontario, Canada. The specimen is a beautiful rich gemmy green vesuvianite crystal, and is fully terminated. This rare and premium specimen is in excellent condition. It is believe wavellite is linked to clarity, insight, and emotional balance, helping to provide a broader perspective on situations. It is sometimes associated with the heart chakra, thought to encourage compassion and emotional healing. Due to its radiating crystal structure, it is also seen as a symbol of energy expansion and awareness.

Cave calcite is not actually calcite, but aragonite which forms within caves, mines and moist areas that are rich in limestone. Formations occur as stalactites and stalagmites, typically as botryoidal or feathery branches.

Cave calcite appears in many colors ranging from clear, to milky white, and rusty oranges. These colors, in addition to their funky, tree-like formations, make cave calcite an exciting addition to any collection. The specimen is in good condition.

Note: There is a natural fracture in the middle of the specimen which comes from the event that created it.  Two parts move slightly so handle with care.  Displays very well. 

Here we have for you a Wolfe Creek impactite breccia specimen weighing 104.88 grams.  Its dimensions are 67x53x42 mm. The exposed crater is located in Western Australia, Australia with an estimated  age of < 0.3 Ma.

Rare large group of small yellow-gold crystals of wulfenite on matrix from Old Yuma Mine, Arizona. The top of the specimen is coated with small sharp crystals of wulfenite and the bottom has hundreds of small spheres. The specimen is in very good condition and is a very colorful and really beautiful specimen. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
