This specimen of rutile crystal on matrix was collected in McGregor Lake, Perkins, Quebec, Canada. The rutile crystal is 3/8" long; sits on top of the matrix and is in very good condition. It is a lustrous reddish brown color. A great addition to any collection!

This is a strand of yellow Rutile Quartz beads with an overall length of 38 cm (15 inches).  The individual gemstone beads are rectangular in shape and range in size from 5.5x4 to 8x4 mm.  In total, the bead strand contains over 60ct of natural Rutile Quartz beads.

Note: This stone sparkles but there is a flaw in the cut as the pavilion is not centered and there is also a miniature crack, invisible to the eye.  These do not alter the outstanding dispersion.  Priced accordingly and fully warrantied, if you are not satisfied the stone can be returned for a refund.

This is an nice 0.98 gram slice of Sahara 02500 L3 classified meteorite. The dimensions of the specimen are 14x12x3 mm.

These meteorites are very beautiful with a highly contrasting and surprisingly colorful texture, often brecciated with numerous clasts. There is not a lot of fusion crust, however, they are only slightly weathered, as they have been found on the desert surface. The meteorites final publication and official naming by the Nomenclature Committee of the Meteoritical Society was expected to be a L3.8 but officially became an L3 with a Shock stage of S2 and a Weathering grade of W1. The name used in the field of Wadi Mellene is the origin of it's find according to the locals.
