This is a beautiful specimen of golden brown Vesuvianite crystals on a white carbonate matrix from Mexico. A great addition to any collection! It was first discovered on Mount Vesuvius in Italy in the 18th century, hence its name.

Vesuvianite typically occurs as a green, brown, yellow, or blue-green crystal, and is often found in metamorphic and igneous rocks. The alternate name, Idocrase, is from the Greek eidos “form”, and krasis “mixture”, because Vesuvianite often appears to combine the crystal forms of other minerals. It is used as a gemstone.

This amazing specimen of Vesuvianite was collected in the 1960's by A. Stevenson in Harcourt, Ontario, Canada. The specimen is a beautiful rich gemmy green vesuvianite crystal, and is fully terminated. This rare and premium specimen is in excellent condition. A fantastic addition to any collection!

Cave calcite is not actually calcite, but aragonite which forms within caves, mines and moist areas that are rich in limestone. Formations occur as stalactites and stalagmites, typically as botryoidal or feathery branches.

Cave calcite appears in many colors ranging from clear, to milky white, and rusty oranges. These colors, in addition to their funky, tree-like formations, make cave calcite an exciting addition to any collection. The specimen is in good condition.

Note: There is a natural fracture in the middle of the specimen which comes from the event that created it.  Two parts move slightly so handle with care.  Displays very well. 

Here we have for you a Wolfe Creek impactite breccia specimen weighing 104.88 grams.  Its dimensions are 67x53x42 mm. The exposed crater is located in Western Australia, Australia with an estimated  age of < 0.3 Ma.

This is a rare specimen of small yellow-gold crystals of wulfenite on matrix from Old Yuma Mine, Arizona. The top of the specimen is coated with small crystals of wulfenite and the bottom has hundreds of small spheres.  

Wulfenite specimens from the Old Yuma Mine are considered rare today. The Old Yuma Mine is a historic, now inactive site, and it hasn't produced new material in many years. Most of the wulfenite specimens available now were collected decades ago, and they tend to be small, delicate crystals that were often overlooked in favor of larger specimens from other mines at the time. Because no new material is coming out, and older collections are slowly being absorbed into private hands, good quality Old Yuma wulfenite has become harder to find and is quite collectible, especially for those interested in classic Arizona localities.

Wulfenite is often associated with creativity, emotional balance, and perseverance. Some believe it helps connect the heart and the will, encouraging people to follow their passions even through difficult or uncertain times. Wulfenite is also thought to support emotional healing by helping release old attachments and clearing a path for new experiences.

This is a nice group of small yellow wulfenite crystals on matrix from Total Wreck Mine, Arizona.  Wulfenite from the Total Wreck Mine is known for producing small but attractive crystals, usually in shades of yellow to orange-yellow. The crystals from this mine tend to be thin, tabular, and sometimes slightly translucent, often growing on a contrasting, earthy matrix.

While the Total Wreck Mine isn’t as famous as places like the Red Cloud Mine for wulfenite, it has still yielded pieces that are valued by collectors, especially because Arizona as a whole is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest wulfenite. Specimens from Total Wreck are typically more modest in size and brightness but are appreciated for their historic mining context and authentic desert character.

This rare and highly collectable H3-6 chondrite (S3 W0/1) is characterized by its beautiful fusion crust and is 1 of only 82 approved meteorites classified as such. The total weight is registered at 175 Kilograms and this nice piece is 1.22 grams with dimensions of 16x10x5 mm.

From the Michael Farmer Collection : "This is a very nice piece of the stone meteorite called Zag. This meteorite arrived as a huge fireball and made explosions heard for hundreds of miles. Many pieces of this meteorite crashed to Earth in southern Morocco, August 4th or 5th 1998. Fossil hunters out in the desert saw the fall and later found it. This meteorite is classified as a chondrite, (H3-6) regolith breccia. This piece weighs 4.34 grams and is a very nice fragment with fusion crust.

Zag made headlines around the world as the second meteorite to contain liquid water. Purple salt crystals have been found by scientists in Zag and liquid water is in bubbles in some of these crystals! Zag has been in almost every newspaper and even on CNN."
