Meteorites

This is a superb looking Arroyo Aguiar meteorite part slice weighing 1.57 grams and measuring 16x8x3 mm. This H5 chondrite classified meteorite fell in the summer of 1950.  The total weight of the single stone is 7.45 Kg.

The meteorite was seen to fall by a rancher who found it soon after.  It had penetrated some 50 cm into the soil.  The meteorite fell near the railway Station Arroyo Aguiar, La Capital Depart­ment, Santa Fe Province, Argentina.

Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.  Will come with a Canagem Collection and a Naturalia specimen card.

Here we have for you a nice looking individual cut fragment of a Sahara Desert NWA unclassified meteorite weighing 114 grams. Its dimensions are 54x53x24mm. This never classified North West Africa stone was found in the Sahara desert around 2000.

It's a good quality individual fragment NWA meteorite specimen. Some weathering shows the meteorite's time spent aging in the desert. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

This is a superb looking Spade meteorite part slice weighing 2.1 grams and measuring 25x12x2 mm. This H6 chondrite classified meteorite was found in 2000 and has a total weight of 8.86 Kg.

This single mass of 8.86 kg was found in a grass field by Mr. J. Talbert while farming. The classification and mineralogy performed by R. Jones, UNM and A. Rubin, UCLA, determined it to be an annealed impact melt rock. It has a shock stage of S2 and a moderate weathering grade of W2.

This is an incredible Korra Korrabes meteorite end cut of 15 grams, it measures 33x33x10 mm. This gorgeous classified meteorite is an H3 Chondrite and part of a 22 kg stone plus 11 smaller pieces totaling ~18 kg that were found November 1996 in a dry river bed by a farmer who was searching for Gibeon irons.

People searching with metal detectors recovered hundreds of additional buried, more weathered pieces within 50 m of the original material since 2000 November, bringing the total mass to ~120–130 kg. The largest specimen was used in a garden wall until August 2000.

Here we have for you a very interesting looking tumbled individual of a Sahara Desert NWA unclassified meteorite weighing 97.4 grams. Its dimensions are 47x43x33mm.  This never classified North West Africa stone was found in the Sahara desert around 2000.

This is a superb slice of the famous Northwest Africa 2965 meteorite, it weigh 1.49 grams and measures 26x22x1. This is 1 of only 26 approved meteorites classified as EL-melt rock.

This North West Africa was first classified as an Enstatite EL6/7, then became an EL3 and finally ended up being classified an EL-Melt Rock meteorite; it was found along with the rest of the total mass of more than 100 Kilograms in the Algerian Desert in August 2005.  This is one of the oldest meteorites on our planet in terms of terrestrial age and has been referred to as a fossil meteorite. 

This Enstatite chondrite shock Level is minimal and weathering varies from 2 to 5. This piece displays extremely well and is a completely recrystallized enstatite chondrite with polygonal to irregular grain outlines. The grain size varies from 0.02 to 0.7 mm. Round, curved, blocky objects contain coarser-grained orthopyroxene than in the matrix. No relict chondrules were observed.

This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its diamond lap finish, it is a high quality specimen that would make an amazing addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with Canagem specimen card.
