This is an amazingly rare classified meteorite shale specimen of Lake Murray weighing 5.5 grams. Its dimensions are 33x23x6 mm.  This Iron (IIAB) classified meteorite was found in Oklahoma in 1933. Only 270 kg of this material have been recovered and most of it is on display in a museum.  This is 1 of 153 approved meteorites classified as Iron, IIAB.

The Lake Murray meteorite is an iron meteorite with an exceptionally long terrestrial age, found encased in a thick layer of iron shale (also known as oxidite) in the Lower Cretaceous Antler Sandstone formation in Oklahoma. It is considered the oldest unaltered meteorite with an intact core known on Earth, having landed approximately 110 million years ago, during the Cretaceous Period.

It was found in 1933 in a gully on a farm near Lake Murray, Carter County, Oklahoma, which is now part of Lake Murray State Park.

The Lake Murray meteorite's unique preservation makes it a crucial subject in the study of paleo-meteoritics (the study of ancient meteorites). While other older "fossil" meteorites exist (such as those in Swedish limestone dated at 450 million years), their original metallic components have been completely replaced by terrestrial minerals, leaving only a structural replica. The Lake Murray specimen is unique because it still retains its original, unaltered nickel-iron core.

This is a superb and rare individual specimen of the Zagora classified meteorite.  It weigh 3 grams and measures 15x8x8 mm. This Iron IAB-ung classified meteorite was found in Zagora, Ouarzazate, Morocco in 1987.  So far approximately 50 Kilos of this material has been recovered.  This is 1 of 69 approved meteorites classified as Iron, IAB-ung.

An unreported number of masses were found, the largest weighing 20 kg, 20 miles S. of Zagora (J. Schwade, 969 S. Chicago Avenue, Kankakee, Illinois 60901, USA). Classification from oxygen isotopic data, R. N. Clayton (1988) pers. comm. Analysis, 9.8% Ni, 62.2 ppm Ga, 226 ppm Ge, 2.68 ppm Ir, J. T. Wasson et al., (1989) Geochim. Cosmochim. Acta 53, 735.

This is a superb Nantan meteorite individual specimen, directly from Guangxi, China. Its dimensions are 27x23x6 mm and it weighs 8.53 grams.

This is a fabulous 1.24 grams Molong stony iron classified meteorite fragment.  This superb meteorite was found in Ashburnham, NSW, Australia in 1912 and has a low Total Known Weight of 104 kg.  This is 1 of 72 approved meteorites classified as Pallasite, PMG. 

This Molong meteorite fragment is a rare 1.24-gram piece of Pallasite PMG (main chemical group) stony iron, originally part of a 230-pound mass found in 1912 near Ti Tree Creek, Ashburnham, NSW, Australia. Known for its unique iron-nickel matrix interspersed with olivine crystals, this specimen offers valuable insight into early solar system processes. 

Even though the iron of this ancient meteorite has changed into Meteorite Shale due to its millions of years of exposure on earth, it still shows the beautiful pallasite structure it is famous for and will also reacts strongly to a magnet. Unlike most pallasites you see, Molong is almost all olivine crystals with just a little metal between them. The olivine crystals are semi-translucent, you can't see through them, but you can see reflections from within the crystals.
