Cave calcite is not actually calcite, but aragonite which forms within caves, mines and moist areas that are rich in limestone. Formations occur as stalactites and stalagmites, typically as botryoidal or feathery branches.

Cave calcite appears in many colors ranging from clear, to milky white, and rusty oranges. These colors, in addition to their funky, tree-like formations, make cave calcite an exciting addition to any collection. The specimen is in good condition.

Here we have for you a Wolfe Creek impactite breccia specimen weighing 104.88 grams.  Its dimensions are 67x53x42 mm. The exposed crater is located in Western Australia, Australia with an estimated  age of < 0.3 Ma.

Rare large group of small yellow-gold crystals of wulfenite on matrix from Old Yuma Mine, Arizona. The top of the specimen is coated with small sharp crystals of wulfenite and the bottom has hundreds of small spheres. This is a rare specimen of the brown Cyrtolite variety of Zircon crystals mined at MacDonald Mine, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. This is a large mass of Cyrtolite. The mine deposit is remarkable for the presence of a variety of rare-element minerals, some of them recorded for the first time. Its content of such minerals makes this deposit one of the most remarkable pegmatites, mineralogically, yet discovered in Canada.  The specimen is in great condition.
