This is lot of small tumbled individual NWA unclassified meteorites from the Sahara Desert. Because they have been tumbled, you can clearly see the metal within the specimens. The total weight of the lot is 26 grams. The meteorites range in size from 16 to 25 mm. This never classified North West Africa stone was found in the Sahara desert around 2000.
These small individual specimens are great as teaching tools in the home or classroom, or as gifts. They can also be used for science projects and other types craft displays. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.
This is a fine part slice specimen of the Northwest Africa (NWA) 2859 meteorite found in the Sahara Desert in 2004. This nice collectible H4 chondrite consists of a brecciated matrix with light and dark clasts and is characterized by abundant chondrules and metal flakes. The total Mass is registered at 920 grams from a single stone. The Shock stage is recorded at 2 and the Weathering grade is also a 2. This is a nice piece weighing 10.6 grams with dimensions of 30x23x5 mm.

This is a great looking part slice of Northwest Africa 2849 L4 classified meteorite. It weighs 5.5 grams and measures 27x22x6 mm. This meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2004 and the total recovered weight is recorded as a low 846 grams. It has a Shock stage of 2 and a Weathering grade of 3.
This is a very good quality L4 classified meteorite part slice and is unusually consisting of a chocolate brown mottled matrix with large inclusions and chondrules. This meteorite is quite friable and porous.

This is a superb looking end cut of Sahara Desert NWA 2229 meteorite. It weighs 2.1 grams and measures 24x16x3 mm. Although still considered unclassified, this meteorite was given the provisional class of R3.8 Rumurutiite.
This is a great specimen with many multicolored chondrules and CAIs. It's a Dean Bessey meteorite but unfortunately many of his finds were never fully submitted for analysis. It is a shame for this particular specimen, as it is just spectacular.

This is an end cut of the Pierceville classified meteorite . It weighs 1.81 grams and measures 17x11x8mm. This Iron (IIIAB) classified meteorite was found in Pierceville, Kansas, USA in 1917. Approximately 100kg of this material have been recovered.
This specimen shows some crust remnant, a clean cut face and what appears to be a partial miscut. It is nevertheless a prized collectible from Kansas. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Will come with a Canagem specimen card.
Here we have for you a superb looking Stony-iron or Mesosiderite Vaca Muerta (Dead Cow) classified meteorite weighing 4.04 grams. Its dimensions are 21x12x9 mm.
This classified meteorite was found in 1861 in the driest desert of the world called the Atacama, in Chile. Mesosiderites are formed on the surface of a parent body as a result of impacts with another body. The impact mixed broken fragments of surface eucrites with iron and olivine from deep within the body. Eucrites are believed to have come from the asteroid Vesta. Analysis has shown, however, that the Vaca Muerta eucrite inclusions are not consistent with other eucrites and possibly originated on a different parent body. Although most have a weathered exterior, they also have lots of metal inside and can be prepared and cut to show this.

This is a stunning Henbury classified meteorite from the Michael Farmer Meteorites collection. It weighs 4.84 grams and measures 20x12x7mm. This Iron (IIIAB) Medium Octahedrite classified meteorite was found in the Northern Territory of Australia in 1931. So far approximately 2T of this material have been recovered. This piece displays extremely well. This Australian find is very well shaped and preserved. These pieces are becoming more difficult to acquire so this is a good time to get a fine specimen.
Henbury fell 8 miles southwest of the town of Henbury, Australia almost 10,000 years ago. RA Alderman investigated the site in May 1931 based upon Aborigine stories. He found 13 craters, the largest of which was 720 x 360 feet. Few meteorites were found in the largest three craters indicating an explosive impact. Some of the Henbury meteorites are shrapnel shaped indicating this explosive ending and some have smooth edges indicating abrasion by an atmospheric passage.
