Herkimer Diamonds are beautiful double-terminated quartz crystals which are found mainly in Herkimer County, New York. Incredibly, these phenomenal gemstones are believed to be close to five hundred million years old. The crystals are magnificent works of nature found in the rock, appearing to have been precision cut by man and having a diamond-like geometrical shape; thus, the name Herkimer Diamond. Many collectors believe the Herkimer Diamond should rival a true diamond and their reasoning for this is that a true diamond found in the rough is exactly that, a rough appearing glass-like stone. The diamond must be painstakingly cut by man to give it smooth faces and a geometrical shape.
In fact, Herkimer Diamonds are not diamonds. A true diamond is one of the hardest elements known to man, scoring a ten on a one to ten hardness scale. Herkimer Diamonds are harder than all quartz crystals. They fall at about 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, giving the real diamond a close race. For comparison, many man-made steels barely score a seven on the hardness scale.
This stone is said to energize, enliven, and promote creativity. The smaller, exceptionally clear stones are said to be powerful attunement crystals, stimulating psychic abilities, such as clairvoyance, spiritual vision, and telepathy. It is also said that Herkimer attunes people and links them together when they have to be parted if each person has a stone.
Unique and in great condition ready for your collection.

Quartz crystals are among the most abundant and well-known minerals on Earth. It belongs to the hexagonal crystal system, and typically forms six-sided prismatic crystals with a pointed termination. Its crystals can be colorless or exhibit a wide range of colors. The color variations are often due to the presence of impurities or trace elements during the crystal's formation. Quartz is transparent to translucent. This great specimen is in very good condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

Unit price perThis is a superb whole specimen of the famous Northwest Africa 2965 meteorite weighing 50.46 grams. This is a beautiful specimen from the Thomas Phillips Meteorite Collection.
Its dimensions are 42x40x20 mm. This North West Africa was classified originally as an Enstatite EL6/7, then later as an EL3 and finally an EL-Melt Rock meteorite which was found along with the rest of the total mass of more than 100 Kilograms in the Algerian Desert in August 2005. This is one of the oldest meteorites on our planet in terms of terrestrial age and has been referred to as a fossil meteorite.
This Enstatite chondrite shock level is minimal and weathering varies from 2 to 5. This piece displays extremely well and if cut would show a completely recrystallized enstatite chondrite with polygonal to irregular grain outlines. The grain size varies from 0.02 to 0.7 mm. Round, curved, blocky objects contain coarser-grained orthopyroxene than in the matrix. No relict chondrules were observed.
This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its prehistoric look and this rare and quality specimen would make an amazing addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with specimen card.

Mordenite on Stilbite Crystal | 500 grams | Jalgaon, India
Mordenite on Stilbite Crystal | 500 grams | Jalgaon, India
Mordenite was first described in 1864 by Henry How. He named it after the small community of Morden, Nova Scotia, Canada, along the Bay of Fundy, where it was first found. It is one of the most abundant zeolites and is found in volcanic rock such as rhyolite, andesite, and basalt. It is associated with other zeolites such as stilbite and heulandite. (Stand not included).
Mordenite is thought to foster genuine serenity by dispelling negative thoughts and energies, liberating individuals from anxiety and fear to unlock their full potential. Stilbite is recognized as a highly creative stone that enhances intuition, carrying a supportive vibration. It grounds spiritual energy and helps transform intuitive thoughts into actions.
