The Lead–Zinc deposits of Madan Ore Field (Southwest Rhodope Mountains) were operated by the Turks in the Middle Ages.  Greek coins from Thasos island dating from the 14th century AD, have been found in the ancient galleries, as well as name of the "Madan" field, which in Turkish means "Ore" originates from that time. 

This top specimen is in perfect condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is a stunning Campo del Cielo classified meteorite part end cut weighing 1.8 Kg (4 lbs). Its dimensions are 13.5x10.6x4.1 cm (5.3x4.2x1.6 inches).  The polished finish of this piece makes it look like an Ataxite.  

This Iron (IAB-MG) classified meteorite was found in Chaco Argentina in 1576. So far approximately 50 Tons of this material have been recovered. This piece displays extremely well showing a beautifully polished finish making it a piece of art that would complement any décor.

These rare and fantastic Libyan Desert Glass were found in a strewn field in the Western Desert of Egypt. The weight and dimensions of each piece are provided below. 

The impact origin of Libyan Desert Glass is still disputed by some scientists and the exact impact site has not been located, although there is clear evidence that an impact has happened. The glass was discovered during an expedition of an international scientific community in 1932; and in 2013, a published analysis of a small black rock proposed that this sample was the remnant of a cometary impact.

The major component of Libyan Desert Glass is almost pure molten silica glass. Proof exists that Libyan Desert Glass had been used as a gemstone in the making of jewellery by the Pharaohs in ancient Egypt.

These are great looking Russian Sikhote-Alin classified meteorites weighing 0.5-0.7 grams.  This Iron (IIAB) Coarsest Octahedrite classified meteorite was recovered in Russia after the fall of February 12, 1947.  So far approximately 23 tons of this material have been recovered.  These specimens are known as shrapnel specimens, ripped and torn edges reminiscent of bomb shrapnel. They broke due to atmospheric pressure and/or mid-air collisions, and possibly explosive fragmentation upon impact. These pieces are a good example of the shrapnel type Sikhote-Alin.

This is an attractive shiny spray of metallic stibnite crystals from the Xikuangshan Mine of China.

This is a great looking end cut Gao-Guenie H5 classified meteorite weighing 4.46 grams. It has a crusted edge and measures 21x15x8 mm. 

This H5 classified meteorite was observed falling at about 17:00 March 5, 1960 near the village of Gao in Africa. There is no total known weight recorded for this meteorite.

This is an incredibly fresh piece of the Oum Dreyga meteorite that fell in Western Sahara the 16 October 2003. This rare highly collectable H3-5 chondrite (S4 W0) is characterized by its beautiful fusion crust and is 1 of only 52 approved meteorites classified as such. The total weight is registered at 17 Kilograms and this nice piece is 4.9 grams with dimensions of 17x15x12 mm.

From the Hupé Collection : "Amgala (Oum Dreyga) 4.9 gram individual with 99% crust that fell on October 16^th, 2003 at around 2:00 a.m. from Amgala to Oum Dreyga, Western Sahara region below Morocco and next to Mauritania.  It has been classified as an H3-5 with a shock rating of 4 and a weathering level of 0. Reports of this fall had been coming in for about a month before any material made it to a source that could recognize it as a fresh fall.   Our sources sent us some samples and we could see that they were W0 (no weathering) so we dispatched them to check it out and get witness statements.  We also told them to bring samples of fresh meteorites to show soldiers in the area so they could look for them while they were on their rounds.  Not long afterwards the soldiers were finding them with magnets that were distributed by the Moroccan half of Team LunarRock.  Unfortunately, the soldiers drifted into another strewn-field where W2 black chondrites where being found.  This caused problems with the strewn-field data and TKW at first.  Once the black chondrites were separated from the rest a clearer picture came into view.   Six trips were made to the area over the past three months, the last one two weeks ago.  The last trip produced only a couple of hundred grams so meteorites from this new fall are becoming harder to find.  We have one more load on the way consisting of about 1,100 grams representing over a month of searching.  One more trip to Amgala is planned and if it does not produce much that will be it for us.  We should have a pretty accurate TKW by then but it looks to be less than 12 Kilograms at this point.  It was originally estimated to be 15 Kilograms because of the black chondites being mixed in.  This new fall is in classification and looks to be a brecciated H chondrite with possible halite crystal.  The crust is jet black with some brownish tones due to temperature variations during the ablation process. Some other oddities are being found speaking from a petrologic standpoint.  We should know more in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned."
