Sunstone is a type of feldspar, its color is often attributed to the presence of tiny copper platelets or hematite inclusions within the stone. The most common color of sunstone is a warm and vibrant orange or reddish-brown, often referred to as "Heliolite" due to its association with the sun. However, it can also occur in shades of yellow, pink, peach, and even green.
Sunstone is renowned for its unique optical phenomenon called adularescence. This effect creates a shimmering or glowing appearance on the surface of the stone, caused by the reflection of light from within the inclusions. It is relatively durable, with a hardness ranging from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. While it's suitable for jewelry, care should be taken to avoid rough handling and exposure to extreme conditions.
Sunstone is associated with warmth, positive energy, and leadership qualities. It's thought to bring joy, vitality, and encourage independence and originality.

Sharp lustrous metallic crystals makes this top specimen of Skutterudite most beautiful and unique. Some pearly white Calcite is intergrown between crystals. Although most Skutterudite are uninteresting in form, several localities have produced sharp, lustrous crystals that are striking in aesthetics like this one.
The Bou Azer District, Morocco, produces the best examples of Skutterudite, in large, lustrous crystals, often in a cuboctadral shape. Skutterudite may partially alter to pink Erythrite. Skutterudite is named after its type locality of Skutterud, Norway.
This specimen is in very good condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is an individual Northwest Africa or NWA 4293 formerly known as NQ10, an H6 chondrite found in the Sahara desert in 2005. It is one of 5854 approved meteorites classified as such. The meteorite weighs 3.8 grams with dimensions of 23x13x9 mm.
This fascinating meteorite was mainly found as small individuals and the total weight of the 100's of pieces recovered is recorded as a low 25 kg. The meteorite has a shock stage of 4 and weathering grade of 2. NWA 4293 is interesting in the way it looks as can be seen in the images. Most pieces are free of caliche, have a smooth gray surface and are small complete individuals. The unusual appearance is due to shock hardening and being sandblasted in the desert.
This specimen comes with a Canagem specimen card. Would make a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
