Unit price perThis is a superb looking slice of the Shişr or Shi 010 meteorite, weighing 6.56 grams. Its dimensions are 36x17x4 mm. This L5 classified meteorite was part of the 16 stones found in the Shişr Desert of Oman by Russian meteorite hunters in 2001 with a total mass of 17.6 Kg. The shock stage of 3 and weathering grade of 3 is recorded for these pieces. This meteorite is likely paired with Shişr 008, an L5 that weighed 244 grams.
This piece shows a nice polished face and is a desirable size perfect to show in class or at a science show. This specimen would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Will come with a Canagem specimen card.

Unit price perThis is a superb slice of the famous Northwest Africa 2965 meteorite, it weigh 0.48 grams and measures 21x17x0.8 mm. This is 1 of only 26 approved meteorites classified as EL-melt rock.
This North West Africa was first classified as an Enstatite EL6/7, then became an EL3 and finally ended up being classified an EL-Melt Rock meteorite; it was found along with the rest of the total mass of more than 100 Kilograms in the Algerian Desert in August 2005. This is one of the oldest meteorites on our planet in terms of terrestrial age and has been referred to as a fossil meteorite.
This Enstatite chondrite shock Level is minimal and weathering varies from 2 to 5. This piece displays extremely well and is a completely recrystallized enstatite chondrite with polygonal to irregular grain outlines. The grain size varies from 0.02 to 0.7 mm. Round, curved, blocky objects contain coarser-grained orthopyroxene than in the matrix. No relict chondrules were observed.
This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its diamond lap finish, it is a high quality specimen that would make an amazing addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with Canagem specimen card.

Unit price perThis is an nice 0.98 gram slice of Sahara 02500 L3 classified meteorite. The dimensions of the specimen are 14x12x3 mm.
These meteorites are very beautiful with a highly contrasting and surprisingly colorful texture, often brecciated with numerous clasts. There is not a lot of fusion crust, however, they are only slightly weathered, as they have been found on the desert surface. The meteorites final publication and official naming by the Nomenclature Committee of the Meteoritical Society was expected to be a L3.8 but officially became an L3 with a Shock stage of S2 and a Weathering grade of W1. The name used in the field of Wadi Mellene is the origin of it's find according to the locals.
