Grossular Garnet from the Akhtaragda River, Yakutia, Russia comes from one of the most historically significant garnet localities in the world, as it is considered the type locality where grossular was first recognized and described in the early 19th century. Located in the Vilyui River Basin of Siberia, this renowned locality is known for producing attractive olive-green to yellow-green grossular crystals, often displaying classic dodecahedral forms. Specimens from Akhtaragda are highly prized by collectors for their rarity, geological importance, and connection to a landmark discovery in mineralogical history
