Natural rough emerald (green beryl variety) in mica-rich matrix from Brazil. The specimen displays translucent green emerald-bearing crystal material hosted in a quartz and mica matrix. Sold as a mineral specimen and collector piece. Untreated and unpolished.

Naturally occurring beryl tends to form hexagonal crystals that can reach several meters in size if given the right conditions. Completely pure beryl will be transparent and colorless, while mineral impurities frequently tint the crystals color in most specimens.

The matrix is roughly:

60% mica schist (silvery-gray flaky material)
30% quartz/feldspar
10% green beryl/emerald-bearing material

This specimen is in good condition. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
