This Chinese gem stone is called Shoushan Stone after the name of a small village in the Fujian Province, China. This stone is mined in Shoushan and is a very rare and valuable stone for collectors.
This carved specimen is totally handmade and top grade handicraft! The carving is that of a laughing buddha relaxing on the stone base just taking advantage of the natural comfortable shape of the stone. You can see from the pictures the charming golden color which is totally natural.
It is not only a nice stone specimen to collect, but also a great cultural item!
