Mesolite is a fragile member of the zeolite group and forms almost exclusively in delicate, needle-like crystal habits.  From the Greek for meso = middle and lithos = stone, for its chemical composition is between that of natrolite and scolecite.  This is a very nice specimen consisting of a large vug in basalt completely covered by white needle.

This specimen will come protected in its specimen display box with a Canagem Specimen Mineral Card.
