This is a superb slice of the rare Sayh al Uhaymir 089 meteorite, weighing 0.356 grams and measuring 13x11x1 mm.  This is the only approved meteorite classified as L/LL3.6/3.7.

This 356mg part slice of SAU 089 is an extremely rare transitional L/LL3.6/3.7, S2, W2 chondrite found in Oman, January 17th 2001. There are less than a handful of transitional type chondrites making this a rare offering. A total Known Weight of 2,618 grams is recorded for this exceptional find. This meteorite is a must have for those who collect by type. The thickness of these part slices is only 1mm giving the best weight to surface area possible. This specimen comes with an identification card from The Hupé Collection.
