This Diopside specimen, collected in 2002, is from the Jeffrey Mine in Asbestos (now Val-des-Sources), Québec, which is a classic Canadian mineral locality. The crystals are typically green to pale green, colorless or grayish-green, and can be quite transparent and glassy. They commonly occur as slender prismatic or very flat, blade-like crystals, sometimes with strong vertical striations. Some of the Jeffrey Mine diopside is particularly attractive because the crystals are transparent and sharply formed.
Diopside is especially interesting at Jeffrey Mine because it occurs with other well-known minerals from the locality, particularly grossular garnet, vesuvianite, prehnite and wollastonite. Diopside specimens from the mine are now increasingly difficult to obtain, since the Jeffrey Quarry is closed.

This is a great looking part slice of the Ashmore Olivine-Bronzite H5 Chondrite classified meteorite. The part slice weighs 0.4 grams.
A mass of 55.4 kg was found in 1969 by Paul Caughron during deep plowing. It lay at a depth of approximately 18 inches within the soil, with its large side down and its nose up.
The specimen comes with a BA-Meteorites.de.vu and a Canagem specimen card. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

Unakite typically exhibits a mix of pink to salmon-colored feldspar, green epidote, and clear to milky quartz. The colors are often mottled or speckled, creating a unique and earthy appearance. Unakite is named after the Unaka Mountains in North Carolina, USA, where it was first discovered.
Unakite has a hardness ranging from 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale, making it suitable for use in jewelry. However, care should be taken to avoid harsh chemicals and extreme temperatures.
Unakite is associated with emotional healing, balance, and patience. It is believed to help release deep-seated emotions and promote a sense of tranquility and well-being.

The distinctive "cat's eye" effect in this Chrysoberyl is caused by the reflection of light off parallel needle-like inclusions within the crystal. When the gem is cut en cabochon, a concentrated, bright band of light appears to move across the surface as the stone is rotated.
Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl comes in various colors, such as green, yellow, and golden-brown. It is a durable gemstone, scoring 8.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness, making it suitable for various types of jewelry. Significant sources of Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl include Sri Lanka, Brazil, India, Myanmar, and Madagascar.
Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl is believed to possess metaphysical properties associated with protection, intuition, and good fortune. Some traditions consider it a talisman for enhancing insight and awareness.
Córdoba is one of Europe's most famous pyromorphite-producing regions, known for yielding green, yellow-green, olive-green and brownish-green crystals from its historic lead mining districts. Spanish pyromorphite is highly regarded among mineral collectors for its rich color and attractive crystal forms.
This specimen has groups of small apple-green, prismatic crystals nestled in vugs on contrasting limonite matrix. A very colorful and really beautiful specimen. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

Moldavite is a rare, greenish gemstone formed by the impact of a meteorite. It is a type of tektite, which is a natural glass created from terrestrial material that melted during the intense heat of meteor impacts. Moldavite is believed to have been formed around 15 million years ago when a massive meteorite hit what is now the southern Germany and Czech Republic region, forming the Ries Impact Structure. The impact ejected material into the atmosphere, which later cooled and fell back to Earth as moldavite, primarily in the region of the Czech Republic. The most well-known deposits are located near the Moldau River, from which it gets its name. It is found in small quantities, making it relatively rare.
Moldavite has a distinct green color, ranging from pale olive green to deep forest green. Some specimens even have a slight brownish tint. It often has a wrinkled or pitted surface, a characteristic of its formation process.
