This is a beautiful combination of Calcite and Stilbite on Apophyllite crystal cluster.

Calcite is found throughout the world in sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. Some geologists consider it to be a "ubiquitous mineral" - one that is found everywhere. Calcite is the principal constituent of limestone and marble. Stilbite is perhaps the most popular zeolite mineral for collectors. Stilbite is a handsome specimen with its pearly luster and sometimes colorful pink tints.  Apophyllite is transparent to translucent and is commonly found in colorless or white varieties, although it can also occur in shades of green, pink, yellow, or brown.

Apophyllite is a mineral belonging to the phyllosilicate group. It is known for its distinctive crystal formations, often occurring in clusters with a unique beauty.  Apophyllite crystals are usually colorless or white, allowing them to be transparent or translucent. Although, some specimens may exhibit a greenish, yellowish, or pinkish tint due to the presence of impurities. 

Apophyllite often forms as prismatic crystals with a square or rectangular cross-section.  It frequently occurs in distinctive pyramid-like structures, and its crystals can be large and well-formed. Apophyllite is found in various locations around the world. Notable occurrences include India, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and the United States.

Apophyllite is believed to have a calming effect, and to effectively reduce stress, releasing mental blockages and negative thought patterns. Apophyllite is also said to release suppressed emotion, to overcome anxiety, worries and fears. It calms apprehensions and allows uncertainty to be tolerated.

One of the distinguishing features of apophyllite is its ability to form well-defined crystals with a pyramid-like shape. This is a very fine green Apophyllite with Stilbite from Parsboro, Cape d'Or, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is one of the rare green specimens which was collected in the 2002.  It is a fine display crystal piece and is a serious quality specimen.

Prehnite can form prismatic, tabular, or pyramidal crystals, but usually occurs in botryoidal, reniform, stalactitic, granular, or compact habits.  It is usually green in color, but may be white, colorless, yellow, or gray.  It has a colorless streak.  Prehnite is transparent to translucent, with a vitreous to pearly luster.  Prehnite forms in cavities in basaltic lavas.

A beautiful combination of Apophyllite, Stilbite and Calcite on Chalcedony Druse. It is a large specimen at over 2 kg and has many double terminated crystals.

Gyrolite often forms nodular aggregates that can appear glassy, dull or even fibrous. Scolecite forms as vertically striated, thin, prismatic crystals.  Scolecite may also occur as radiating fibrous masses.  The colour may be white, yellowish, or colourless.  It is a transparent to translucent mineral, and it has a vitreous to silky luster.
