Pseudomorphs are mineral specimens that have the external shape of one mineral but are composed of another.  The pseudomorph goethite after marcasite forms when marcasite is exposed to oxidizing conditions and starts to oxidize and break down. As the marcasite breaks down, goethite replaces it in the crystal structure, preserving the shape of the original marcasite crystal. The resulting specimen appears as a marcasite crystal, but is actually composed of goethite.

The Farafra Oasis, in the White Desert, has been known for a number of years to deliver incredible pseudomorph specimens. The pseudomorphs occur within the Cretaceous Khoman Chalk, from which the White Desert derives its name.

These specimens are remarkable for their relatively sharp marcasite crystal forms in aesthetic crystal clusters. They are in excellent condition.  This collector's specimen is unique, of great quality and ready for display.

Wolframite is the principal and primary ore mineral of tungsten, and commonly associated with the tin ore in and around granite country rocks. Wolframite is an iron manganese tungsten oxide mineral.

Some water-clear quartz crystals sprout from a carpet of deep forest-green pistacite also known as epidote. The epidote underneath is clearly visible through the quartz. Nice large specimen. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is a natural cluster formation of large calcite crystals with hematite inclusions. This piece has some white color to translucent crystals with areas of orange/red coloring from hematite inclusions, with sharp tabular crystal formations. There are some nicks and imperfections on a few crystals but would still shine in the proper setup.  They don't take away from how interesting this piece is.  Would be a nice addition to any new or existing collection.

Tory Hill is a small village in Ontario, Canada that is known for its apatite crystals. Apatite is a mineral that is commonly found in igneous rocks and has a variety of colors including green, blue, yellow, and brown. The apatite crystals from Tory Hill are known for their green color and transparency. 

 Apatite is believed to possess healing properties and is associated with creativity, self-expression, and personal growth. It is thought to enhance communication skills, stimulate intellect, and promote clarity of thought.

This is a fabulous Inesite on Hubeite crystal cluster from Ezhou, China.   Inesite's name originates from the Greekines, "fibers" alluding to its color and habit.  Hubeite was found and named after the province of Hubei, China and is common to iron ores in mines of that region. It occurs mainly as aggregates of fan like crystals. It is dark to pale brown, has orange-brown streak and is vitreous.

This is a very fine green Apophyllite with Stilbite from Parsboro, Cape d'Or, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is one of the rare green specimens which was collected in the 2002, and is a quality specimen.

Lepidolite is a lilac-gray or rose-colored member of the mica group of minerals.  Because lepidolite is a lithium-bearing mica, it is often wrongly assumed that lithium is what causes the pink hues that are so characteristic of this mineral. Instead, it is trace amounts of manganese that cause the pink, purple, and red colors.  The most notable and certainly the most studied of these deposits is the Brown Derby #1 Pegmatite, located in the Ohio City/Quartz Creek District, approximately 18 miles northeast of Gunnison in the high mountains of Central Colorado.

Here is a rare combination of a mass of Scholzite needles covered by black Chalcophanite crystals on matrix from Australia.  Scholzite is a rare zinc phosphate mineral that forms nice bright white tabular crystals and is associated with other rare phosphates. Specimens can be especially nice when combined with other rare minerals such as Chalcophanite which is a rare zinc, iron, manganese hydroxide.

Pyrite is a fascinating mineral also known as "fool's gold" because of its metallic luster and brassy yellow color, which can resemble gold. It often forms in cubic crystals or as nodules in sedimentary rocks.  It gets its name from the Greek word "pyr," meaning fire, as it can produce sparks when struck against metal or another hard material.

An interesting thing about pyrite is its association with ancient civilizations. It has been discovered in artifacts from ancient Egypt and was used for ornamental purposes in jewelry.

Pyrite is believed attract financial success and offer protective qualities against negative energies. It is thought to boost confidence, inner strength, creativity, and focus.
