This is a beautiful cluster of quartz points that have Barite growing on them.  Barite is typically found as thick to thin tabular crystals, usually in clusters with the crystals growing parallel to one another, or nearly so. Or also as bladed, white masses. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

This is a beautiful piece of eudialyte from world famous Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec. Eudialyte is widespread at Mont Saint-Hilaire and can be found as excellent crystals with vibrant color.  It features raspberry red eudialyte with black and white crystals.  Would be a great addition to any collection.

Vanadinite crystals are small, hexagonal prismatic crystals that are typically red to brownish-red in color. This color of brown is uncommon for Vanadinite from Morocco.  They have a bright luster and a transparent to translucent appearance. The crystals often form in aggregates, creating intricate and interesting formations.  Vanadinite would hardly be as famous if not for the outstanding locality of Mibladen, Morocco. This locality has by far produced the most outstanding crystals of beautiful color and form.  This Vanadinite specimen is from the J.S. Scholewski Collection.

Herkimer Diamonds are beautiful double-terminated quartz crystals which are found mainly in Herkimer County, New York. Incredibly, these phenomenal gemstones are believed to be close to five hundred million years old. The crystals are magnificent works of nature found in the rock, appearing to have been precision cut by man and having a diamond-like geometrical shape; thus, the name Herkimer Diamond.  Many collectors believe the Herkimer Diamond should rival a true diamond and their reasoning for this is that a true diamond found in the rough is exactly that, a rough appearing glass-like stone. The diamond must be painstakingly cut by man to give it smooth faces and a geometrical shape.

In fact, Herkimer Diamonds are not diamonds.  A true diamond is one of the hardest elements known to man, scoring a ten on a one to ten hardness scale.  Herkimer Diamonds are harder than all quartz crystals. They fall at about 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, giving the real diamond a close race.  For comparison, many man-made steels barely score a seven on the hardness scale.

This stone is said to energize, enliven, and promote creativity.  The smaller, exceptionally clear stones are said to be powerful attunement crystals, stimulating psychic abilities, such as clairvoyance, spiritual vision, and telepathy.  It is also said that Herkimer attunes people and links them together when they have to be parted if each person has a stone

Chalcopyrite and sphalerite crystal clusters are minerals that are often found together in nature. Chalcopyrite is a copper iron sulfide mineral, while sphalerite is a zinc sulfide mineral.

Chalcopyrite crystals typically exhibit a brassy yellow color and have a metallic luster. They often form in cubic or tetrahedral shapes and can display iridescent colors due to thin surface layers of other minerals. Sphalerite crystals, on the other hand, can range in color from pale yellow to brown, and sometimes even black. Nestled in a matrix of ivory colored calcite, are several crystals of Fluor-Richterite.  Fluor-Richterite is a rare mineral found only in the Wilberforce area in a skarn formation from the intrusion of magma into limestone with various impurities.  The fluor-richterite crystals are a shiny black color and the largest is 3/4" long. They are embedded in white calcite which fluoresces a bright pink color under short wave. Most of the fluor-richterite crystals are not complete.  Would be a nice addition to any new or existing collection.

It was first discovered on Mount Vesuvius in Italy in the 18th century, hence its name.
