Deep purple is the most famous color of Fluorite, but it can also be sky blue, sea green, sunny yellow, and crystal clear. There are rarer colors of pink, reddish orange (rose) and even black. Mesolite is a fragile member of the zeolite group and forms almost exclusively in delicate, needle-like crystal habits. Prehnite can form prismatic, tabular, or pyramidal crystals, but usually occurs in botryoidal, reniform, stalactitic, granular, or compact habits. 

It is usually green in colour, but may be white, colourless, yellow, or gray.  Prehnite is transparent to translucent, with a vitreous to pearly luster.  Prehnite forms in cavities in basaltic lavas.

Cave calcite is not actually calcite, but aragonite which forms within caves, mines and moist areas that are rich in limestone. Formations occur as stalactites and stalagmites, typically as botryoidal or feathery branches.

Cave calcite appears in many colors ranging from clear, to milky white, and rusty oranges. These colors, in addition to their funky, tree-like formations, make cave calcite an exciting addition to any collection. The specimen is in good condition.

This is a stunning specimen of calcite cubes on mordenite druse.  The crystals are well defined and look beautiful together.

Calcite is found throughout the world in sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. Some geologists consider it to be a "ubiquitous mineral" - one that is found everywhere. Calcite is the principal constituent of limestone and marble. 

Mordenite was first described in 1864 by Henry How. He named it after the small community of Morden, Nova Scotia, Canada, along the Bay of Fundy, where it was first found.  It is one of the most abundant zeolites and is found in volcanic rock such as rhyolite, andesite, and basalt. It is associated with other zeolites such as stilbite and heulandite.

This is a beautiful combination of Apophyllite, Stilbite and Calcite on Chalcedony Druse. It is a large specimen at over 2 kg and has many double terminated crystals.

Stilbite is a zeolite mineral appreciated for its delicate crystal formations and pastel hues, ranging from colorless to white, yellow, pink, and peach.  It forms distinctive tabular crystals with a bowtie or butterfly shape and exhibits a vitreous to pearly luster. 

One of the distinguishing features of apophyllite is its ability to form well-defined crystals with a pyramid-like shape. These crystals often exhibit a prismatic or pseudo-cubic habit and have a vitreous luster. Apophyllite is transparent to translucent and is commonly found in colorless or white varieties, although it can also occur in shades of green, pink, yellow, or brown.

Chalcedony is a microcrystalline Quartz found in many different colours and patterns.  It has a number of crystals grouped under it many of which are very familiar, including Agate, Carnelian, Chrysoprase, Aventurine, Jasper and Onyx.

Gyrolite often forms nodular aggregates that can appear glassy, dull or even fibrous. This is a fabulous specimen of terminated Kyanite blades, Staurolite and Quartz mined in Barra do Salinas district, Barra do Salinas, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil.  The specimen was mounted on a wood stand to allow easy display in a favorable position and to protect the specimen.

Kyanite is a silicate mineral with the chemical formula Al2SiO5. It's known to be one of the most attractive natural minerals in the world, frequently found with lustrous blue bladed crystals, with the intensity of color varying by location of extraction. Kyanite regularly forms fibrous, radiating crystals, as well as flattened and tabular. Some crystals form with white striations, color bands, and even multi-colored crystals, though typically found with a deep blue streak running down the middle.
