This crystal features a combination of Tetrahedrite, Pyrite and Calcite.  It is a beautiful crystal with well defined metallic tetrahedrite crystals and calcite on one side and less defined tetrahedrite with pyrite cubes on the other.   

Tetrahedrite is believed to promote emotional healing and provide a protective shield against negativity. It is thought to enhance creativity and clarity, helping individuals connect with their inner selves.

Ammolite is an opal-like organic gemstone found primarily along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is made of the fossilized shells of ammonites, which in turn are composed primarily of aragonite, the same mineral contained in nacre, with a microstructure inherited from the shell.  It is one of few biogenic gemstones; others include amber and pearl. In 1981, the year commercial mining of ammolite began, ammolite was given official gemstone status by the World Jewellery Confederation.

Shoushan stone, also known as Shoushan jade, is a type of ornamental stone that is primarily found in the Shoushan village of Fujian Province in China.  It comes in a variety of colors, with intricate patterns and varying degrees of translucency. The stone is often associated with traditional Chinese culture and art, and it holds a significant place in the history of Chinese craftsmanship.

The God of Longevity, also known as Shoulao is a prominent figure in Chinese mythology and folklore.  Shoulao is often depicted as an elderly man with a long white beard, holding a staff and a peach. He is revered as the deity who bestows longevity, good health, and happiness upon people.

The peach that Shoulao holds is particularly significant. It's often referred to as the "Peach of Immortality" and is believed to grant immortality to those who consume it. The association of peaches with immortality is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and is a common motif in art and literature.

This is a great looking NWA 1108 L6 Chondrite classified meteorite slice weighing 47.16 grams. Its dimensions are 50x31x21 mm. This L6 (S3/W2) chondrite classified meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2003. 

The petrography shows some metal and sulfide grains are elongated, metal and sulfide veins are also present. Chondrules are poorly defined and very recrystallized. Some plagioclase grains are 50 μm in size. A few olivine grains contain planar fractures.

The official total weight of the 25 pieces recovered is recorded as 2.8 KG.  This beautiful meteorite comes from the Michael Cottingham Meteorite Collection.
