Unit price perThis is a great looking Northwest Africa 2949 basaltic eucrite classified meteorite slice weighing 9.7 grams. Its dimensions are 43x38x3 mm.
This basaltic achondrite eucrite classified meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2005 and is 1 of 468 approved meteorites classified as such. The total weight of the 5 recovered pieces is recorded as a low 1365 grams.
This piece displays extremely well with a beautiful crusted exterior and is a nice size showing multiple characteristics of the type of material, exhibiting excellent clasts within the matrix. The matrix is a fine grain containing shocked eucritic inclusions. Beautiful grey matrix with nice clear inclusions. The three groups collectively known as HED meteorites(howardites, eucrites and diogenites) may come from asteroid 4 Vesta.
The specimen comes a Canagem specimen card. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.
This is a 418 gram impact melt rock from the Gallejaur Crater, northern Sweden. Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts and are probably going to be one of the rarest collection items you'll ever own. Impactite is a slag-like glassy object found on the surface of the earth, formed from rock melted by the impact of a meteorite.
The term impactite encompasses shock-metamorphosed target rocks, melts or suevites and mixtures of the two, as well as sedimentary rocks with significant impact-derived components and shocked mineral grains, tektites, anomalous geochemical signatures, etc.
Rocks, interpreted as impact generated lithologies, occur in a large area surrounding the Gallejaur magnetic structure at latitude 65°10/longitude 19°30 in northernmost Västerbotten County in northern Sweden. These rocks comprise a variety of different types of breccias: authigenic The Gallejaur structure is located in the central part of the Skellefte mining district in the Precambrian Baltic Shield. The ca. 1.9 Ga old Skellefte district is an extensively mineralized, mainly felsic, submarine volcanic belt. The rocks are described as impact-generated, have been called the Vargfors Group and overlie the Skellefte volcanics and sediments with an angular unconformity. The youngest rocks in the area, intruding the Skellefte district supracrustals and probably the impact-generated rock, are A/I-type granitoids belonging to the Revsund-Adak granite suite, which have been dated at ca. 1.80 to 1.78 Ga.
This great bookend slab displays very well. It has a mass of 94x84x48 mm. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

The principal member of the Aragonite Group, aragonite is the second most common polymorph of natural calcium carbonate (the most common is calcite). It is significantly less widespread and abundant than calcite and is formed under a much narrower range of physiochemical conditions. It is metastable relative to calcite and often converts to calcite accompanying changes in the environment. It is nearly always a low-temperature, near surface mineral.

$228.00 CAD
Unit price perThis is a superb whole specimen of the famous Northwest Africa 2965 meteorite weighing 49.85 grams. This is a beautiful specimen from the Thomas Phillips Meteorite Collection.
Its dimensions are 54x43x19 mm. This North West Africa was classified originally as an Enstatite EL6/7, then later as an EL3 and finally an EL-Melt Rock meteorite which was found along with the rest of the total mass of more than 100 Kilograms in the Algerian Desert in August 2005. This is one of the oldest meteorites on our planet in terms of terrestrial age and has been referred to as a fossil meteorite.
This Enstatite chondrite shock Level is minimal and weathering varies from 2 to 5. This piece displays extremely well and if cut would show a completely recrystallized enstatite chondrite with polygonal to irregular grain outlines. The grain size varies from 0.02 to 0.7 mm. Round, curved, blocky objects contain coarser-grained orthopyroxene than in the matrix. No relict chondrules were observed.
This hard to acquire piece displays very well with its prehistoric look. As highlighted in the photos, there are grains of sand still wedged into one of the crevices of the specimen. Pink Stilbite with Calcite on Druse | 665 gr | Jalgaon, India
Pink Stilbite with Calcite on Druse | 665 gr | Jalgaon, India
Stilbite is a zeolite mineral appreciated for its delicate crystal formations and pastel hues, ranging from colorless to white, yellow, pink, and peach. It forms distinctive tabular crystals with a bowtie or butterfly shape and exhibits a vitreous to pearly luster. Commonly found in cavities in volcanic rocks, stilbite is associated with other zeolite minerals. It is valued for its aesthetic appeal and is believed by some to have calming energy, supporting spiritual growth and emotional healing.
Calcite is found throughout the world in sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. Some geologists consider it to be a "ubiquitous mineral" - one that is found everywhere. Calcite is the principal constituent of limestone and marble.
This specimen would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

Unit price perPuerto Minguez Shocked Impact Ejecta | 365 Grams | Rubielos de la Cerida Impactite, Spain
$238.00 CAD
Unit price perThe Puerto Minguez ejecta refers to the impact ejecta from the 38 million years old twin (multiple) impact structure Azuara / Rubielos de la Cerida in Northern Spain, originating from the nearby Rubielos de la Cerida impact structure.
This is a strongly deformed limestone component (seldom different rock types) with significant displacements. Typical clast deformation looks looking like a loaf cut into slices but not fully broken into pieces. This is typical of a short-time dynamic deformation under high confining pressure.
The similar deformations are well known from the Ries crater impact ejecta that occurred in carbonate concretions and in the famous Ries Belemnites both embedded within soft Jurassic claystone. This sample shows a limestone clast partially sliced / fractured with prominent displacements in the range of up to 12 mm. The over all dimensions of this sample is 40x60 x125 mm and weighs 365 grams.
Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.
