An olivine volcanic bomb is a type of volcanic rock that contains olivine crystals and has been ejected during a volcanic eruption. Olivine is a mineral that is commonly found in the Earth's mantle and is one of the first minerals to crystallize as magma cools.

Volcanic bombs are large clots of lava that are ejected from a volcano during an explosive eruption. They can vary in size, and their shapes are often streamlined due to their molten nature as they are thrown through the air. When these volcanic bombs contain olivine crystals, they are referred to as olivine volcanic bombs.

This is a great 85.2 gram Impact Melt Breccia from the Sääksjärvi crater in Finland. It is amazingly light considering its mass of 95x51x15 mm.  Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts and are probably going to be one of the rarest collection item you'll ever own. Impactite is a slag-like glassy object found on the surface of the earth, formed from rock melted by the impact of a meteorite.

The term impactite encompasses shock-metamorphosed target rocks, melts or suevites and mixtures of the two, as well as sedimentary rocks with significant impact-derived components and shocked mineral grains, tektites, anomalous geochemical signatures, etc.

Sääksjärvi is a lake in Kokemäki, Satakunta, western Finland, east of the town of Pori. The lake is notable because it overlies an impact crater.  The crater is 5 kilometres (3 mi) in diameter and is completely buried under the lake and is not visible at the surface. The age of the impact structure is estimated to be about 543 ± 12 Ma (million years ago), at the boundary between the Ediacaran and Cambrian periods. There are impactite rocks in the southwestern region from the crater confirming its extraterrestrial origin. At the time of its discovery, only one impact crater (Lappajärvi) was known in Finland.

This is a must have 17 gram Impact Melt Rock from the Stac Fada Member Impact Structure, NW Scotland. It measures 65x38x4 mm.  Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts and are probably going to be one of the rarest collection items you'll ever own. This beautiful Impact melt rock comes from the Stac Fada impact structure in Scotland. The structure has an estimated age of about 1.2Ga (1,200 Ma). The Stac Fada Member of the Precambrian Stoer Group in Scotland has previously been described as volcanic in origin. However, shocked quartz and biotite provide evidence for high-pressure shock metamorphism, while chromium isotope values and elevated abundances of platinum group metals and siderophile elements indicate addition of meteoritic material. Thus, the unit is reinterpreted as having an impact origin.

Here we have for you a Wolfe Creek impactite breccia specimen weighing 104.88 grams.  Its dimensions are 67x53x42 mm. The exposed crater is located in Western Australia, Australia with an estimated  age of < 0.3 Ma.

This is a nice fossilized, highly polished natural Ammonite in brown marble from Morocco, it is perfect for gift giving to a new fossil collector. This Ammonite weighs 20 grams in weight and measures 48x39x7 mm.  Ammonites are perhaps the most widely known fossil, possessing the typically ribbed spiral-form shell. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. They belong to a group of predators known as cephalopods, which includes their living relatives the octopus, squid, cuttlefish and nautilus.  This fossil would be excellent for jewelry making.

Rutilated Quartz is a beautiful variety of Quartz that contains needle-like inclusions of the mineral Rutile. These golden, coppery, or silver-colored needle inclusions create unique patterns within the Quartz.

This is a rare specimen of small yellow-gold crystals of wulfenite on matrix from Old Yuma Mine, Arizona. The top of the specimen is coated with small crystals of wulfenite and the bottom has hundreds of small spheres.  

Wulfenite specimens from the Old Yuma Mine are considered rare today. The Old Yuma Mine is a historic, now inactive site, and it hasn't produced new material in many years. Most of the wulfenite specimens available now were collected decades ago, and they tend to be small, delicate crystals that were often overlooked in favor of larger specimens from other mines at the time. Because no new material is coming out, and older collections are slowly being absorbed into private hands, good quality Old Yuma wulfenite has become harder to find and is quite collectible, especially for those interested in classic Arizona localities.

Wulfenite is often associated with creativity, emotional balance, and perseverance. Some believe it helps connect the heart and the will, encouraging people to follow their passions even through difficult or uncertain times. Wulfenite is also thought to support emotional healing by helping release old attachments and clearing a path for new experiences.
