Grossular garnets are a variety of garnet known for their diverse range of colors, transparency, and wide occurrence across different geological settings. The grossular garnet specimens from Lake Jaco, Chihuahua, Mexico are renowned for their classic crystal shape and attractive yellow-green coloration.

Garnets are believed to have properties associated with vitality, courage, and creativity. They are thought to bring balance and stability.

This is a section of a colorful Precambrian rock material green Mica (muscovite) from Eastern Ontario Area and an excellent example of Grenville metamorphism. The name is derived from the Greek word that means to split.

The Grenville Orogen is a deeply eroded and highly uplifted orogenic belt that extends from Labrador in northeastern Canada to the Adirondack Mountains and southwestward under the coastal plain of the eastern United States. It developed from about 1.5 to 1 billion years ago.

Schist is faliated medium grade metamorphic rock. It formed by metamorphosis of mudstone and shale or some form of igneous rock. It usually has better crystallization of mica minerals. This is called schistosity texture. There are many types of this rock so they may be named for mineral comprising the actual rock for example Mica schist.

These nicely colored Garnets are from Ontario, Canada.  Garnets as a group are relatively common in highly metamorphosed rocks and in some igneous formations. They form under the high temperatures and/or pressures that those types of rocks must endure. Garnets can be used by geologists as a gauge of how much temperature and pressure the rock has endured. 

Garnets do possess high indices of refraction, are hard enough, have pretty colors, are wonderfully transparent, lack cleavage and are durable; thus making good candidates for gemstones.  They are greatly variable in colors and varieties, and many of these are both rare and beautiful, producing genuinely precious gemstones. Some garnets are truly unique in the mineral kingdom and have much to offer as both gemstones and mineral specimens.

Garnet has been dubbed the gem of faith, constancy and truth. Asiatic tribes carved garnets into bullets in the belief that their fiery color would inflict more deadly wounds. They were ground into powder for the treatment of fever or jaundice. If the cure didn't work, the apothecary was accused of using an imitation.

Here we have for you a great looking quarter stone cut of a Sahara Desert NWA unclassified meteorite weighing 95.66 grams. Its dimensions are 60x50x32mm. This never classified North West Africa stone was found in the Sahara desert around 2000.

It's a very good quality professionally cut NWA meteorite specimens showing interesting internal structure (H5?) and somewhat attractive with a mottled interior with chondrules and metallic flakes. Some weathering shows the meteorite's time spent aging in the desert. Displays nicely with a ground and rough polished without a mirror finish.

Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

This is a specimen of augite crystals from Lake Clear, Ontario.  The specimen is in very good condition.  Make this a special specimen in your collection. 

This is a specimen of augite and apatite crystals from Lake Clear, Ontario. The specimen is a floater with no contact point and is a mass of about thirteen inter grown augite crystals. There is also one large brown apatite cluster and more small apatite in the seams. The largest augite crystal is 1 ½" across. The apatite is 2" x 3/4". The specimen is in very good condition.  Make this a special specimen in your collection.

Stilbite is a zeolite mineral appreciated for its delicate crystal formations and pastel hues, ranging from colorless to white, yellow, pink, and peach.  It forms distinctive tabular crystals with a bowtie or butterfly shape and exhibits a vitreous to pearly luster. Commonly found in cavities in volcanic rocks, stilbite is often associated with other zeolite minerals. 

Stilbite is believed to have calming energy, supporting spiritual growth and emotional healing.

This is a superb looking Dhofar 947 classified meteorite weighing 38.40 grams. Its dimensions are 97x49x6 mm.

This L5-6 classified meteorite was found in Oman in 2002. The total known weight of the single piece recovered is recorded as an incredibly low 170 grams; the meteorite has a shock stage of 3 and weathering grade of 2.

This piece displays extremely well as it was professionally cut in a way to expose the interior and allow it to sit perfectly on a table.  The cut faces are polished to allow a clear view of this beautiful and rare material.  There are just over 40 kilos recorded worldwide of various classified L5-6 meteorites and you will own approximately a quarter of this rare find that is the Dho 947.
