Hubnerite is a rare manganese tungstate mineral and the manganese-dominant member of the wolframite series. It typically forms dark reddish-brown to nearly black blade-like crystals with a submetallic to silky luster. This dense mineral is an important tungsten ore and is commonly found in high-temperature hydrothermal veins, often with quartz and fluorite. Specimens from Peru and Colorado are especially well known for their sharp, aesthetic crystal formations.

Apophyllite is a mineral known for its distinctive crystal formations, often occurring in clusters with a unique beauty.  Its crystals are usually colorless or white, allowing them to be transparent or translucent. Although, some specimens may exhibit a greenish, yellowish, or pinkish tint due to the presence of impurities. 

Apophyllite often forms as prismatic crystals with a square or rectangular cross-section.  It frequently occurs in distinctive pyramid-like structures, and its crystals can be large and well-formed.  It is found in various locations around the world with notable occurrences in India, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and the United States.

Apophyllite is believed to have a calming effect, and to effectively reduce stress, releasing mental blockages and negative thought patterns. This is a rare and fantastic 50.9 gram Libyan Desert Glass from Kuffra, Libya, with dimensions of 65x44x19 mm.  Although its exact origin is still debated, the leading theory suggests it was formed by a high-energy event, such as a meteoric impact or airburst, that melted the desert sand directly where it lay, without being ejected into the atmosphere and re-entering. This results in different physical characteristics compared to tektites.

Libyan Desert Glass is found specifically in the Great Sand Sea of the Eastern Sahara, within a more localized area spanning parts of western Egypt and eastern Libya.  Characterized by its yellow to greenish-yellow color, it lacks the aerodynamic shapes of tektites and often appears as irregularly shaped pieces. It is almost pure silica (around 98%) with very few impurities. Throughout history, it has been regarded as a mystical and powerful material, sometimes used in talismans and amulets.

This piece displays extremely well and is a quality translucent specimen. It has an aesthetic shape with a beautiful wind eroded body from the years spent in the Desert. Would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection. Comes with a Canagem Collection specimen card.

This is a superb looking fragment of the Columbus classified meteorite weighing 3.83 grams. Its dimensions are 16x13x12 mm. This rare H5 classified meteorite was found in Luna County, New Mexico USA in 1997. The total weight of the stones recovered is recorded as a minuscule 165 grams. 

Here's what the finder, Michael Cottingham told us: "This is the Meteorite that started it all for me! My wife and I were out looking for meteorites on a dry lake bed in Southern New Mexico and I found one! This was a new meteorite discovery and it only took me 300 hours of searching to find my First One!  The COLUMBUS Meteorite was found by me in January of 1997. It was Classified by A. Rubin at UCLA as a H5 Chondrite. It was found near Columbus, Luna County, New Mexico and the Total Known Weight is ONLY 184 grams. Very Rare indeed."

This is a fabulous specimen of bladed kyanite and quartz mined in Barra do Salinas district, Barra do Salinas, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Kyanite is known to be one of the most attractive natural minerals in the world, frequently found with lustrous blue bladed crystals, with the intensity of color varying by location of extraction. Kyanite regularly forms fibrous, radiating crystals, as well as flattened and tabular. Some crystals form with white striations, color bands, and even multi-colored crystals, though typically found with a deep blue streak running down the middle.

This is a must have Impactite from the famous Terny Astrobleme, Ukrainian Shield and Crater in Ukraine. It weighs 14.33 grams and measures 42x32x9 mm. Although not a meteorite, impactites are directly linked to them and their impacts and are probably going to be one of the rarest collection pieces you'll ever own. The Terny impactites are important geological specimens that are recognized by the scientific community as evidence of asteroid or comet impacts on Earth.

The Terny astrobleme is a geological formation located in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine. It is believed to be the result of a meteorite impact that occurred approximately 65 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. The impact formed a crater that is estimated to be around 6 kilometers in diameter, although it is largely eroded and filled in with sediment.

The Terny astrobleme is an important geological site for studying the effects of meteorite impacts on the Earth's surface and the resulting geological processes that occur. It has been the subject of numerous scientific studies, and specimens of the impactite rocks found at the site have been collected and analyzed for their mineralogical and chemical properties.

This is a great looking H5 classified El Hammami meteorite and is one of the freshest meteorites we have ever seen.  This excellent specimen weighs 46.1g and measures 71x28x13 mm.

The specimen has gorgeous fusion crust along one edge. The interior is a beautiful grey color with abundant metallic flakes and tiny chondrules. Two nice metal veins run through this specimen.

This is a superb Pink Halite crystal mass. This great specimen is in very good condition and would be a beautiful addition to any new or existing collection.

Pink Halite is a type of Halite that had its color tainted from bacteria of various algae species. Halite is known as the natural form of salt and is a very common mineral found near oceans and salt lakes.  Kłodawa lies on the Rgilewka (a tributary of the Warta River). The Kłodawa Salt Mine, the largest operating salt mine of white and uniquely pink salt in Poland, extracts halite and salts of potassium and magnesium. Deposits date back over 200 million years. The Klodawa salt bed is the largest in Poland – 26km long and 4km wide. The total length of the underground tunnels in the mine is about 350km.

Salt has been mined here for more than half a century by traditional mining methods which allow the natural qualities of the salt to be preserved.

Herkimer Diamonds are beautiful double-terminated quartz crystals which are found mainly in Herkimer County, New York. Incredibly, these phenomenal gemstones are believed to be close to five hundred million years old. The crystals are magnificent works of nature found in the rock, appearing to have been precision cut by man and having a diamond-like geometrical shape; thus, the name Herkimer Diamond.  Many collectors believe the Herkimer Diamond should rival a true diamond and their reasoning for this is that a true diamond found in the rough is exactly that, a rough appearing glass-like stone. The diamond must be painstakingly cut by man to give it smooth faces and a geometrical shape.

In fact, Herkimer Diamonds are not diamonds.  A true diamond is one of the hardest elements known to man, scoring a ten on a one to ten hardness scale.  Herkimer Diamonds are harder than all quartz crystals. They fall at about 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, giving the real diamond a close race.  For comparison, many man-made steels barely score a seven on the hardness scale.

This stone is said to energize, enliven, and promote creativity.  The smaller, exceptionally clear stones are said to be powerful attunement crystals, stimulating psychic abilities, such as clairvoyance, spiritual vision, and telepathy.  It is also said that Herkimer attunes people and links them together when they have to be parted if each person has a stone.

Pseudomorphs are mineral specimens that have the external shape of one mineral but are composed of another.  The pseudomorph goethite after marcasite forms when marcasite is exposed to oxidizing conditions and starts to oxidize and break down. As the marcasite breaks down, goethite replaces it in the crystal structure, preserving the shape of the original marcasite crystal. The resulting specimen appears as a marcasite crystal, but is actually composed of goethite.

The Farafra Oasis, in the White Desert, has been known for a number of years to deliver incredible pseudomorph specimens. The pseudomorphs occur within the Cretaceous Khoman Chalk, from which the White Desert derives its name.

These specimens are remarkable for their relatively sharp marcasite crystal forms in aesthetic crystal clusters. They are in excellent condition.  This collector's specimen is unique, of great quality and ready for display.

This is a lovely fan shaped stilbite specimen.  It also makes us think of a baseball glove and ball.
